My parents live in SLT and have a couple rentals. Once the date is established I can see about grabbing one for a few of us. Sooner the better though, Tahoe summers can fill up fast.

Ok, would all of these fine people that said that they would be interested in Tahoe, still be interested if we moved the location to drewl's house in Susanville? He is offering his place for VFRW members to meet up at. Cheaper lodging (and free for the first 8), great roads, maybe less traffic. Further up for us SoCal folks though.

I figure I have room for 3 small/medium tents in the yard if you're into camping. I can provide links to Susanville motels if there is enough interest.

RVFR, we have helo parking at SVE airport. You will want your bike, though.

Keep malcster AWAY from Tahoe.

How far from Drewl's hous to Tahoe? WTH is it matter another 60 miles!!!!!!!
I am open, Go with the flow. But I think Tahoe is still much better. I am sure a bunch of us can crash in the motel.

I figured on staying at the Legacy regardless.

I think Lgn001 ideas is good. Jason maybe we should have plan B...........and check with every one to see which plan is better.

Yes Tahoe is MUCH nicer than Susanville. I am 1 hour from Reno, 2 from Tahoe.

It was just an idea. I was thinking maybe(if it were to be here) we could do a Reno day. I know a fun way into town, lots to do in Reno, nice food and such.

Just an idea.

Hot August Nights kicks off 8/1 in Reno/Sparks. Personally, I avoid Reno during this time. Traffic hell and gang bangers take over downtown. The event has dramatically changed over the last 10-15 years, not what it used to be.

well, you guys could ride up to my place and sleep then we could all ride out the next day. I'm pretty sure Brian is going to want to go also. I just need to figure out dates... Since my vacation plans are gone, that opens up a whole week I had blocked off to go to Italy. I can't remember the exact dates, though. I'm gonna look at what time i'm off tomorrow at work...

I am not sure how to handle 600 mile trip, The longest trip I took is about 200 miles one way. I will coordinate with Jason and the boys from SanDiego to figure out where to crash (Reg or Drewl) house. I can not wait for the trip

With no offense to drewl and his home, I prefer Tahoe. I understand Hot August Nights is that weekend so maybe changing it to the weekend before in July or 2nd week in August to avoid the :TOILET: will be better. Yes it's only another 100 miles from my place to drewl's compared to Tahoe but the route is immensely different; Tahoe is curvy and beautiful, Susanville would be 200 plus miles of slab <
