I ride with one guy that has a VFR... I ended up getting an FZ1 but my "Honda love affair" has not subsided. If they ever make a litre VFR... I'll be all over it. I don't mean to spam this board but we have a couple of very well qualified mechanics on our forum that are local to you. Saint Louis Area Riders (STLAR) and look up ZRX4ME. You can get a lot of expertise for less than dealerships but I figure that if you took on the project you are probably already a pretty good "wrecher" yourself and we could always use more of those.

Also, the local MSTA, formally HSTA, has a Yahoo meetup group and they are very active riders and there are a number of Viffer's in that group.

Thanks for the info dogpark. I would say I used to be a pretty good "wrencher" but its been 10 years. Its amazing how much you forget in that time. And amazing how quickly it comes back once you start again.

Enjoy that new VFR... If I were smaller or it's engine were a little bigger or the new new VFR 1200 were a little better looking I'd have one.. as it is... I'm still an FZ1 ST1300 kinda person.
