Either weekend looks good for me too.
Heading out right now as we speak. Either one of those weekends looks good.
the 18th would work for me well currently .. till some show pops up and ruins my day LOL
Cap hill here... 86 750 for the ride :-)
What's up fellas,
I just got back in town on 7/16 and could definately use a ride (gone for 5 weeks). !8th works well for me, as does the 24th. Any ideas for where and when yet?
I hope you guys didn't go today. If not, what about riding up by Blackhawk next weekend...maybe even stop for a little high stakes click clack?

What's up, Deer Creek to 285 to Indian Hills to Evergreen to Mt. Evans to Idaho Springs to the back way into Blackhawk is a preety good route. I however won't be able to make it this weekend as my ride suffered some preety good cosmetic damage due to that Lakewood hail storm. Let me know on any future dates. I should be able to get out as soon as Sat. 8/1.
Just wanted to get my name thrown into this thread and let the forum automatically subscribe me to it.
I'm up in Severance (near Ft. Collins) - stumbling distance from Bruce's Bar. Currently riding an '85 500 mini-ceptor.
See you guys around!
Probably the last of the nice weather coming this week!
Welcome tinkerinWstuff. We got one ride as a group in this past summer, and next year we will have to do better. Hard to imagine that the colder months are already here.
Glad to have another CO VFR!

What's up guys? Welcome tinkenwstuff. Everyone enjoying their fall season thus far?
Thanks, sorry I didn't see this post sooner.
What fall season, seems we skipped right to winter didn't we? Well, we did have an indian summer there for a week
Wierd year weather wise, that's for sure. Summer wasn't as hot and it seemed like it rained every afternoon.
I'm riding every chance I get though. Ran up hwy 85 to Cheyenne yesterday. That's an awesome ride between Nunn and the border. Kind of like a scene out of Mad Max with the wide open curvy road with little to no cars.
Can't wait to meet up on a ride with a couple of you guys. I don't know anyone else who rides around here and I feel left out when I cruise thru the foothills and see a pack of bikes go by!
Well I'm going to jump in here at tinkerinWstuff's suggestion. Not very many VF's down south, well not that I see.Want to get on the list to be notifed for group rides. thanks
Hey guys. I'm checking in to be added to the list of Denver VFR'ers. Moved here from UT over the summer and would love to hook-up with some fellow VFR riders in CO. I live in SW Parker. Keep me in mind when you all start group riding again.

In Pueblo West. Seat is out at Sargent for a week or so. Looking forward to a day without sand. Peace.
What do we have to do to get an above average day around here?
I'm still riding every chance I can but all that sand on the road sure takes a lot of the fun out of it.
I'm in Colo Spgs. The new 07 will be here before the weather gets nice. Count me in!!
Welcome HercFE, good to see another viffer in the area. There's not many of us. Congrats on your '07. Your gonna love it. Are you having one of those blow out priced RWB's from out of state shipped?
Nope. I went for Candy Apple Red. (Only found 2 out of 13 dealers) It's beautiful, like Jessica Simpson in Dukes of Hazard.HA! And got a blowout deal from out of state. Anyway, I'm new to boards like I am to Facebook. I'd like to keep in touch cause I know I'll have question about things like HeliBars, Seargent vs Corbin and pipes ect... Thanks for making me feel welcome havcar!!
Marc, Wondering about your seat...? I hear the Sargent seat beats the Corbin by a mile...Your thoughts?? Thanks for the guidance!
Got out this past weekend for a out and back from Denver to Palmer Lake. A great day, and it was long overdue. The roads were in good condition, but I am looking forward to spring and getting back to the high country.

Well fellas, I finally managed to get out for a legit ride today. I was riding the little canyon between Morrison and Evergereen which was pretty sandy. I stopped for gas and a guy on a CBR told me that the Deckers ride (the one we went on last season) was clean. So I went it did it. Sure enoough everything was good and was able to ride as hard as new season comfort allowed for. A little sand about a mile before that convenience area but nothing bad. In fact there were several riders there who all said that they had been taking that route for most of the winter without many issues. So hopefully we'll all be able to get togather for a ride sooner rather than later.
Cheers!
Bikes stayed in the garage yesterday and we took the horses out to the Pawnee grass land.
Glad to hear you had a good ride!
Morrison to Englewood is the one that goes past Red Rocks right?

WooHoo.......Looks like its about that time again......
Yeah, there is decent ride that goes by the main gate to Red Rocks and then once you're in Morrison you go right (west bound) through a great canyon that goes up to Evergreen and all the way through to Conifer. Good tight corners (many are blind so not much passing) and pretty good scenery. Then once you get to Pine Junction and head south into Deckers it's great scenery and mixed types of cornering, probably one of the better one day rides that CO. has to offer, and fast as you want. Police presence is little to none and if you do see one, they seldom harrass.
Yeah Brother, you know I'm over on the west side, close to Morrison, so I'll keep you guys posted as I see conditions getting better. Keep your eyes peeled for the conditions down south too. I'm always up for some Peak to Peak and/or Estes Park area.
Meant to say up north there...
