January 20th Ice Ride

Hi guys, just wondered if anyone got out there today? Beautiful day out there, sunny slightly windy and 15 damn degrees. Well I just got back from a ride out to Lake Nockamixon in this stuff. I was laughing the whole time. My tour master heated gear was working overtime. My hands even got a little cold during the last half hour of the 1.5 hour ride regardless of the fact I had the heated gloves working. It was a nice ride none the less, didn't end up with frost bite anywhere either. Got several thumbs up from some drivers in their cages. Also got some, "are you f*cking crazy" stares as well. Didn't see any other bikes, didn't expect to... but I did see a guy on a snowmobile!

Well it was fun none the less, I'm trying to post up the pictures to the site but it isn't working for some reason. Here are two shots I uploaded elsewhere.

Shot of the dash gauge with the 15 degree reading

Shot out near Lake Nockamixon, Buck County Pa.

Slow but good, got the new rear turn signals done. Short stalks w clear lens, amber bulb. ordered the f brakes should be here by end of week. Got to get the new chain yet, gettin an EK Red colored 530 chain. after that I really only need the side cover, then I can ride again. Everything else, I can do later. Should be Riding by Mid March.

Great we'll have to do some riding together out there north of you up near Huffs Church. Some great roads up there.

With a high of 22 degrees, I only admired the bike as I walked by it to get to the heated seats of the Accord. I think you are probably on your own today. I admire you dedication though.
