Summit Sunday.

Here's the schedule for Sunday at Summit Point
http://www.wera.com/pdfs/2008Schedules/summit060808.pdf

executive summary: practise from 0830-1100 racing from noon until they are done.

Here's the motorpark's site if you need directions
Summit Point Motorsports Park

I'd like to leave early in the morning so I can ride in the cool air through the VA backroads, vice up 70/270. I'm likely to head back on the interstate thought.

I'm still working out a route. PM me if you'd like to go with me and we can hook up on the phone

I've got to do a car control clinic with my son from 1-5pm today, so I'll be online later today.

Prosit - Paul

Frank scores the double-day bike pass and sweats through with Paul & Shaun. We met many two other VFR riders and saw some more at Summit Point. Frank will likely have to wait until next weekend to download the pics he took since he spent so much time in the saddle this weekend. nice meeting you gentlemen.

For the record, there is no such thing as a "golden ticket" or a full weekend pass...
not without a price... lol.

Just wanted to thank Nozzle and FrankoQ for letting me catch up with them (even if I was late) for the ride out to Summit Point. These are two great guys. Two great guys with very different schools of thought on how to wire in a GPS (for the record...I was the one that was late because I was the only one with out a GPS). When I can finally afford a GPS of my own, I'll be calling FrankoQ for help installing the relay and fuse box (sorry Nozzle). It was a great day, my historic farmers' tan/sunburn and my first two photo enforcement speeding tickets aside.

Hey, did you guys know that VFR's float?

My awesome wiring skillz allowed me to quickly utilize the power of Zumo. Time allocation skillz prevent me from doing the job of Frank. I'm not certain I could label neatly either, come to think of it... you should ask Frank.

Frank wired his Zumo cradle with a nice relay and fuse box. The single fuse in the box even had a hand lettered "Zumo" over the fuse. I *temporarily* screwed the wires to the battery terminal... It worked during the trip as we got to and from Summit Point.

Your wiring skilz are rivaled only by your command of your spelling skillz. Saw the trooper lights when I left you, thought they got one of you two. Glad to see you made it home in one piece. I guess two photo-enforcement tickets in one day is enough, eh?

Nozz, I can't believe I missed you guys. I was right next door at the Summit Jefferson circuit on a Nesba track day! I actually motored over to Main around 3pm for a shower, had the my Red 2005 on a Worthington Trailer attached to a Silver MDX, did you happen to see that rig? I parked right near the area you guys were at that day for a while watching the action on turns 5 thru 9 of the Main circuit. Would have been nice to meet you guys. It was pretty darn hot that weekend. I was actually at Main on the 7th on a track day as well. I think I lost 10 lbs that weekend in the heat.

We really need to get a Mid-Atlantic VFR get together going.

PAR'ed... we did not troll that course, but watched the bikes scream past on the wee little track some of the day. We bailed before you got there. Frank and I have the perfect alibi courtesy of Montgomery County speed photo enforcement. You just gotta check the formum more often ;-) or join up on the Mason-Dixon group for when you're NESBA ing.
