Glad you guys made it back ok, all in all still a really good day riding. I guess any day we can get our in November and complain about it being hot is not bad lol

Could have been way worse. Bikes can be fixed, as long as everyone is in one piece, that's the important part. $50 part, leave the farring as it is for now anyway, and he's back on the road. We'll hopefully get out again, if not next spring for sure!

fix didn't go well, bike got trucked back home. Got a insert jammed in and tried to seal it with some quick set sealant...nada. Still puking coolant once it started up. Just no way to clamp it onto that water pump with the flange in the shape it was. So, packed it up in that guys Toyota that was helping out, headed back to Lowell. We did a loop out 116 / 112, then 9 back to Northampton. Still totally a good day, just too bad his bike got dinged up a little. Should be an easy fix once he has the water pump cover tho

Good seeing you and The Bird again! Sweet ZX14...really nice looking bike. I bet it goes at least 60 or 70 too

Hey, Kev gave me the low down. I hope the 'night Manager' got a fist full of dollars for giving him a ride home. That was above and beyond the call of duty! Despite the damage to the GSXR600, it could have been much worse. I am glad it wasn't. Ya'll came home the same way we did. We had lunch @ the Northhampton Brewery. Ryan (speed triple) and his wife hung out in N. Hampton while Joel (750SS) and I cruised home. 116 was a great road. I hope we can hit it again in the near future.

So we were lucky enought to find a local who opened up his buddy's shop for us to try and fix it but no go and he offered to give him and bike a ride back to Lowel. if anyone has his name please let me know and name of garage as well would like to post and I have a VFR World sticker to put on his door w/ a thank you note. Those 2 guys went above and beyond for us and I will on every ride stop in and buy something at his store.

So we broke off in groups to salvage what was left of the day.

Somefun how was your ride back w/ blackbird??? any problems w/ the directions I gave you??

Last but not least Hamza Thank you for letting me rip on the 998 I had a sh*t eating grin from ear to ear while on your bike and I am surprised I did not brake my helmet open w/ such a huge grin.

I aslo came across another accident that really shook me up for the rest of the day / night, looking for Hamza who ran to auto parts store, a woman on a bicycle was run over by a woman driving a mini van and it was a very ugly scene, I can not find anything on crash in the local news or paper but will continue to look. I hope she made it ok, she was not looking / doing good at all.

It's ok, he'll be dreaming about getting his own Ducati now for awhile...

Someone let me ride their Paso back in the day and I was HOOKED!!! And that was one of Ducati's worst models! LOL!

I think the guy said it was called the Sunset Garage. Found this online:

Sunset Garage
Ashfield Rd Con
Conway, MA 01341
413-369-4622

I agree - it's a new stop on the rides for sure. I'll be happy to buy some stuff from him anytime. You see a bunch of sport bikes in trouble and then get 2 older guys to help out instead of just saying "F them" - they are ok in my book.

Guy's glad everything worked out. It was good seeing everyone...I will stop in that guy's shop and spend some $$$ for sure!! Black Bird n I had a great ride back....We had to get back by 2:00......and get back we did!! 116 and 112 were great and we had absolutely no traffic! I think we averaged 100MPH for most of it! Till we had to speed up on route 8! lol I'm glad things turned out ok for everyone.....Hamza along with Black Bird n I set my personal best time from New Haven to the BBHF of 40 minutes and that was with stopping for fuel!!! lol

i still have yet to get the guys name who gave Eric(gxsr) a ride home.
eric txted me and said he has it back at his house and he will get it to me in the next day or so
the guy would not take any $. Eric paid to fill up his tank for the drive, and when they got to my condo Eric tried to give him more $ but the guy would not take it. he only took $3 for a coffee for the ride home.
you don't find a guy like that every where.

the owner of the shop gave me his card with a few #'s on it to call in case we break down again in that area.
PM me if you want that info ( i don't wanna post that info for all of the interweb to see)

Wow...all I can say is wow. There actually are some good people left kicking around. That guy's got my business for life, I'll tell ya that much. Every ride we take up through there, I'll stop in for sure. If I don't need anything, I'll just donate to whatever jar is on his counter and be on my way. What can you say about a guy like that?? And to miss a Pats / Miami game?? Daaaammmmm, it's a sin!

THIS is the stuff that should make the morning news, not who got shot in Spfld and what burned down in Holyoke.

02 or Snow, I have the garage address, but did you get the owners name? Also do one of you have that guy's name and address that drove him home? If so, can you PM me when you have a sec?

Thanks again to everyone. Even with the damage to the gixxer, still a great day. Glad it was a pretty cheap fix too, helps take the sting out of it a little
