Any VFR's headed up to Americade 2008?

I am headed up there with a few friends (Non VFR). I will be there about four days only because my daughter is graduating and wife is making me attend.

I am looking forward to riding some of those mountain roads in Upstate New York and Vermont.

This will be my third year in a row. I actually don't attend the festivities, just go to ride. There are some good roads up there. Road surface isnt the best but its ok for some spirited riding.

By the way I have my route from last year if you're looking for a longer journey to get up there. I went up and over the Catskills which turned out to be a welcome change from slabbing it the year before. Have fun!

I am going up on thursday night, bringing a friend with a nice k75s beemer. Hoping to have good weather, but because we are arriving late night we decided to trailer as it is only a few hours from me. Ill be looking out for other vfrs . Keith

I'm leaving Wednesday from Canada. Should be there most of Thursday. Not exactly sure what our plan of action is just yet. Riding is definitely first priority!

I will be available Saturday for rides in NY or Vermont. I live in the Lake Placid area and that would be a nice ride...we did it last year.

We could take different paths up and back to Lake George. There are some nice eating places and if the weather is right and visibility good enough, we could ride the Memorial Highway to the top of Whiteface Mountain.

The view is impressive from the castle at the top...it is over 5,000 feet and on a clear day Montreal etc are in range.

I really don't have an agenda though fellow VFR lovers...you make the call and I will ride wherever you'd like to go!
