Hi all,
Just sold my HD as I thought I was done with bikes for a while (two little dudes at home now). Decided I needed to get something in my garage and this was only thing I've decided to ride...2000 Honda VFR. I wanted one back in the day and I guess I just had to have one.
Bought from a very nice fellow in Utica NY. Just under 19,000 miles, corbin seat, and a nice high-mount exhaust, and a bag system, are the few extras that came with it. Rented a trailer and drove out there and picked it up a few weekends ago. Saw it and had to have it.
So far I've ridden it a few times and I'm really just getting used to this kind of bike again. I've had a Road Kind and a Road Glide for the past 8 years...before that a rode an SV650. This VFR reminds me a lot of my old SV.
Just getting to know the bike now...first project was to change the oil...learned how to do by reading about it on this site...used Mobil 1 and the honda filter of course...why would you use anything else?
Anyway, back on sport bike mount...see you around.
Maybe someone will write about a VFR-sighting..."spotted in Manchester NH, yellow VFR!"

Welcome aboard, NorEaster.
The yellows are awesome.

Although I've come back, the HDs will always have a place with me...the only goal now is to keep this VFR and aquire more bikes along the way...the more the merrier!

Welcome, Mountainman! We'll keep an eye out for you.

Welcome, I am in Amesbury, MA along with another 5th gen rider, STRAP (Travis) also lives in the Manchester area. If you look a few threads down about Seacoast and NH riders you will see a few of us. Now we all just need to pick a day and meet.
Look forward to riding with you.

Welcome as reported I'm in Manch.. On a side not I've got to tickets left for the vintage races at NHIS .. I won't be taking the bike but I can leave names at the gate
Welcome to the brotherhood. I'm sure after you get used to the new bike you'll wonder why you ever owned anything else. Also just to let you know, most people on these boards feel that there are much better oil filters out there than the Honda OEM. I personally have been using Puralotor ML16817 with Shell Rotella T heavy duty oil.
How bout posting a pic of your new baby?
Regards,
Rollin
