Winter is diffently here

I almost rode into December but with conditions like this it's time to break down the VFR for winter, here is a couple of pictures of what December brought to the Puget Sound area...

After the rare snow storm the weather has turned to heavy rain, 7.5" in 24 hours and 13.80 for a 48 hour period flooding has been going on everywhere up here. I live in a area that's protected from any real danger but we have a small creek that surrounds our property, today is the first time it ever went over our driveway, here is a pic...

Yep it's a tad wet out all over the place, set a lot of records for the most in a 24 hour period. Guess a ride down #25 is out of the question huh?
Heres a video of what the local paper came up with.

I haven't seen a real snow hear in about four years. I kind of miss it except for the fact that I am riding the bike today.

That photo reminds me of the time the septic system decided to stop working when I was trying to sell my house....

well, we finally got some rain. nothing like what you have up there, but what passes for rain down here anyway... it's really more like a steady mist, almost what we would called a sprinkle in MO...

That's the word the rest of the nation thinks of Californians who whine about how cold 60 degrees is in December
