I just moved back to the Oregon Coast from Mass and looking to see how many riders are on the coast.

Entryleader is one, there are others but their names are not coming to mind at the moment (sorry!).
Ah, best of worlds, what's become of you now?

Welcome back to Oregon :)
Thank you, it is great to be back. Can't wait to meet up with all the local riders in the future. Anyone care to share some of there favorite routes? I took a loop the other day that ran up the coast to 34 in Waldport then 20 back to the coast in Newport then back home. Great day!!!!

Woo hoo welcome back to the good ole PNW. Sounds like you had a good one. Ha only thing now that bites is the weather, but come summer there ain't a better place to be..
No I didn't but it looks like a great section of road. How is the view from the top? I can't believe I missed road. Thanks for the info.

I'm on the coast in Waldport. I've been riding everyday with this awesome weather for December. I have only been going on short rides because I have to work at night, so an hour each way is about all I can do.
Welcome back. I like hwy 34, mary's peak, watch for gravel on both. Otter crest loop on cape fowlweather off 101 around mile post 132 is a nice five mile, one way road. Old hwy 101 near cascade head is very curvy, a few rough places so go slow the first time.
I like going to Florence for something to do, but the highway south of waldport sucks as soon as you go into Lane county. In waldport, Crestline to Wakonda beach is really fun too.
I'll be out there, so I'll probably see you if you're riding the coast. I don't see too many riders these days, but they're missing out. Nice dry roads, and few tourists. The weather had better get bad again soon, or I think I'll die from lack of sleep because I ride from 11 to 3:30 and then work all night and do it again. I've gotta catch up on sleep and get into the gym. All this riding when I usually go to the gym is making me fat. I just can't pass up December coast riding!
Mary's Peak closed down about two weeks ago, or so I heard. Gets snow there usually by this time of year.
The Waldport/Alsea/Philomath loop can be modified by hooking North just outside Philomath to Dallas then back to Lincoln City. Great ride if it ain't pissin down rain.
Waldport.....nice! I was starting to think that there were no other VFR riders on the coast. This bout of no rain has been great but I have not been able to ride to much. Between needing a new set of tires and a newly developed hydraulic leak from somewhere, I may be done for the season, or at least until the next touch of good weather. This summer we will have to link up for a ride.

Well sounds like I live a little further south, Bandon. Just moved here a couple months ago and if anyone has any good ideas for rides, I'm mostly sticking to 101 right now because our side roads aren't drying off well.
Welcome to the Coast, were did you move in from. I know Bandon well, I lived in Coos Bay / North Bend area for 5 years and went to Bandon quite a bit. Can't wait until summer to run seven devils across to Bandon and get some fish and chips at the little place on the river. Seems like there are a few riders within a few hours. I think I see an PNW meet coming in the future. Would be nice to get a group ride to Crater Lake this summer.
