Hey echo, im not too far from you. if its dry out ill be riding tomorrow.

closest dealer to you would be FMS. Hotbrakes could take you on a tour of it, its basically his second home, at least he wishes it is.

Thanks for the heads up on the stealership.

I've got a lot going on tomorrow during the day, but should be done by 3 or 4 in the afternoon, if your interested in meeting up somewhere easy to find; and it's nice tomorrow...

I did go for an hour ride or so today, was great.

Riding is nice fall is the best time around
summer is hot and south is nice. Well, so is west. I am in PW county jsut north of Quantico. Stay posted here for group rides etc.

welcome echo....i live in chesterfield but my whole family lives in fredericksburg. i grew up there. they live right off I-95 exit 130a. (coming from south). they live behind the burlington there. i go up there often to visit. we should take a ride sometime. its much harder for me to get out and ride cause i usually work till 8-4pm or 10-6pm. and have two small kids. but it would be sweet

Ok, this weekend I think the weather REALLY will be nice. I'll probably ride both days, maybe an overnighter in the mountains. (We do ride VFR's after all, lots of luggage space). Or maybe a local Fred'burg ride Saturday and "the usual" ride out of Richmond on Sunday.

ECHO- Welcome aboard! At least welcome to the VA riders nook. You're just in time for the prime VFR riding season. Former Marine myself, looks like you have a whole family of them.

I actually just moved the pin to F-burg in general, cause I'm only in this apartment for a couple months, while we get things settled and find a place to move the family down to.

Thanks, yeah really proud of both my kids.

Looks like I'm gonna do some riding this weekend; going to FMS tomorrow to check on the mirror and maybe some riding Saturday around the area thanks to Ciscokid.

Thanks for the welcome to the area.

Saturday- Tentatively ~12pm at my house, destination Fred'burg, 99 miles of CURVES, and merely 1 mile of major highway. Time could change depending on several factors, but would probably be 1pm at the latest. Should be done with plenty of daylight left.

Yes, right now it looks like it'll be 5 of us. And I won't be home til almost 1.

Tomorrow's ride will begin at 0930 at Starbucks across from Short Pump Mall. High of 72, hoping to cover at least 300 miles and back to Richmond by dark.

Couldnt make it out on Saturday. I had some family in town to deal with. Sunday I went out and about with a friend. Ran up and down 211 a couple of times. There was only one spot that had some loose stuff on the road. Then we head out west and did some exploring. Ended up with about a 300 mile trip. I need to do something about my pegs. I scrapped both the left and right side feelers on the way up the mountain. Didn't really like the feel of the peg kicking up when all my weight is planted on said peg!

Find any good roads out there? It was weird sweating all day in the unseasonably warm sun but I wasn't complaining! We did 300 miles as well down south with minimal traffic interference.

Really didnt find to much. The rider I had with me had to be back earlier than I had planned. So I couldn't get out to far. I should have headed south and met up with you guys. But most importantly this great day was not wasted!!

Unscrew them while you still can. Mine are snapped off. Now I will have to tap them to remove the stubs.

It was my pleasure, Ron. That's a beauty of a 25th anniversary model you have there. For the record, we rolled out of Fredericksburg and headed through the Chancellorsville battlefields. Through Richardsville and on through Edward's Shop to Remington. From there we hopped on down to Brandy Station past the Graffiti house and on to Stevensburg. Headed out through Batna and wound around to Lignum. Rode Rt. 3 back to Wilderness where we stopped for coffee to warm up. Good ride and good company. Sorry I had to cut it short to go clean house, but my Mom was coming for a visit and my wife would have had a conniption or two if I didn't pitch in and help. Next time we'll head for the Blue Ridge.

Looks like a high of only 58. Probably do some more parking lot stuff with emphasis on braking. Next Mon, Tues, and Wed are looking good though, should be in the 60's.

Yeah, its this red gooey stuff followed by big brown piles that are usually off to the shoulder. You have to be careful though cause sometimes the piles are still moving and with no early warning red goo.
