Oh, and the standup wheelie was cool with the hardbags, tail trunk and 20mph crosswinds!

Yeah, that was a puckering experience but it must look crazy seeing a bagger lofting it like that. Damn wind makes it hard. Next time we should take pics.

Ya, I can put the wrist strap on the digital camera & shoot it hand held. Just stay in your lane!

Good looking suit. Is that the one you had on for that ride a few weeks ago and froze in?

No, I was wearing my Teknic cold weather pants that I posted a link to in this thread. For a jacket, I was wearing my FirstGear Leather Tech with a liner. The jacket was probably my weak point in the gear. A matching Teknic jacket to the pants I would have been perfect! The pants are awesome and I can't say enough about them. They come with a liner that works great. The only think I was wearing underneath was my under armor pants and I my lower half was damn near perfect. The come standard with their knox, CE approved knee armor and soft padding in the hips. Hell, can't even tell I low sided in them last month!! Of course, that was a really low speed low side. Wish I could say the same about the bike! But really all I did to the bike was finish off the damage to the bike that the original started. This weekend I think I'm going to start removing plastic to have my buddy fix them up for me.

26 degrees

So I rode to work this morning. It was 26 when I pulled out and 33 when I got to work. 30 miles 40 mins. I do not think I could ride more than an Hour in that temp. To do so , I would have to be so bundled that I could not opperate teh bike. As it was I was wearing my insulated jacket with insulated pants and gloves with silk liners. Turtle fur neck warmer Etc.

Grip heaters have a way of heating your whole body. Morton's BMW in Fred'burg has them for $39.99 a set. I could get them and you could come by the station for pick up if you want.

Military issue cold gear affectionately referred to as "polypros" insulate well and are lightweight and non bulky. That's what I use.

The only thing that gets cold on me now is my chin!

Good job riding in the cold. Always nice to see who the true motorcyclists are.

Pretty easy. Wire them to the batteries (need battery terminal connection from Radio Shack) or splice them to a headlight, drill small hole for switch, remove grips, stick on heaters, replace grips, a couple zip ties here and there, and connect them to the switch. I can help you do it maybe one morning after work.

Any surplus store around Quantico should have them. There are a few places in Q-Town that should too. Don't know of one off the top of my head though.

Kinda short notice but- meeting at the Wawa in Central Park Fred'burg today at 1230. Riding for a few hours, home before dark. Easy country roads out in the middle of nowhere. We'll grab lunch along the way.

No offense, but you probably wouldn't have made it past the gas station! It was kinda chilly and I could have layered up better but the thermometer said 70 degrees! (sitting in the sun) Good ride.

Wow. Cool pics.

No offense taken. Just to let you know, I did get out on my VFR this afternoon out 55, but it was only 45f not 70f wherever you guys were riding. I am not such a pansy after all. :)

Those are some interesting pipes on that superchicken?
