I'm about to move down to the area (Land O Lakes, to be exact) and am hoping to have my bike running soon after that (she hasn't run in a dozen years) and would love to do some weekend riding.

ANother one in PAsco here...
Hudson, Florida... Been riding for years (decades actually). Just got a new black 2006 VFR a couple months ago...spotted another black one in New Port Richey a couple weeks back. Mine's got the luggage. Love the bike. Love riding on weekends. Almost always up in Brooksville on Sunday at the Hess on 50 about 11am-1pm. If you don't know about it, all the bikers stop there when out riding. It's a good area and nice roads to explore in groups.

I'm in Tampa, and I like excuses to ride... I'm up for just about anyhing. I don't have a VFR, but I do have a VF. That close enough?

so, the weather is starting to get a lot better, and was wondering if anyone wanted to schedule a ride. i think the best way to do it would be to pick a date a month or so away so that everyone can plan for it, and save up for gas lol. a meeting place that is neutral for everyone would be great too, if we want to stay on the west coast, i was thinking like sarasota or somewhere like that. if anyone is interested post up! lets figure something out, and get out and ride!!! oh, and all bikes are welcome, as i am sure we all have friends that ride, but may not ride viffers.

short notice?
ya know, with tomorrow being a holiday(for some), I'm wondering if maybe a meet up at the quaker steak this afternoon would be possible, I live in south St. Pete and I don't know the area all that well, but hey, the military taught me how to follow the leader well, just a thought, let me know.

Quaker Steak n Lube bike night is Wednesday. They do have a large gathering on Saturdays though as well. Nothing like Wednesday, but this weekend is nice and I am sure they'll be plenty of bikers stopping there.
If you're in St Pete you should be aware that Biff Burger on 49th Street has bike nights Wednesday AND Saturday. They're a bit of a cruise for me, being I am in Hudson, but hey, that's the fun of it. I think Biff's has a better atmosphere anyway. Quaker's a bit yuppie for my taste. Biff is more the hardcore everyday rider location, not the weekend warrior spot. Damn good burgers too! Stan |

Update - RWB VFR spotted...
Not long ago I noticed a new VFR rider in my area of New Port Richey. The owner rides a 2007 RWB VFR. He turns left onto Little Road as I continue till Starkey and take a left to Trinity where I work. I see him almost like clockwork on my ride to work from Hudson at about 7:30-7:45am. We always wave at each other and we usually pass each other going the opposite way on Little Road. He heads north as I go south.
If yer reading this send me a message. I'm the guy with the black 2006 VFR with hard cases. Stan |
