Stolen Viffer

I have to ask for some help from yall here on VFRWorld. On Wednesday morning someone helped themselves into my garage and took my baby, my '95 VFR. Whoever stole it doesnt have a clue what their doin due to their lack of care. They didnt even get past my neighbors house before they dropped it, there were pieces of the windshield fairing and mirror left in the street. This bike was my baby, she wasnt in very good condition but it was the only thing I owned, and my main source of transportation to school and work. All I'm askin is to keep an eye out for her, i dont think the people that stole her were very smart.

Thanx,

Keep an eye on e-bay. Good luck getting her back. I can't imagine what you're going through.

Dawg. If you posted pictures it would be easier to help look for your lost love. I noticed you do not have a gallery of images.

Ditto to what eddie said. Keep an eye on ebay for parts or even for the whole bike.

The thieves cant be all that clueless as they knew how to hotwire a motorcycle. Wont insurance cover the theft?

I am watching ebay and craigslist. Insurance wont cover it because I only have liability, they only cover damage other than my bike, no theft fire or anything like that. Like I said I'm a starving college student with a rather large family, im barely makin it by. One of my friends suggested talking to my landlord to see if his homeowners will cover it, as I do not have renters insurance either. Ill post a couple pictures of it but the pictures i have are mostly of when i first bought it.

I'm sure they didn't have a chance to hotwire it, at least not on my street. The only other thing they stole out of my garage was my lawnmower. There were multiple other more easily accessible (packable) more valuable items but i think they got the lawnmower first, and when they were pushin the bike out they dropped it, thought it made too much noise and just bailed. Workin on this bike for the last 3 years has given me a lot of insight about how one would steal such an item. I could RIDE away almost any Honda in under 5 minutes. (At least a Viffer)
Also, they have no key. I live in a small town so i called all the locksmiths, and motorcycle shops and have them looking out for someone ordering an ignition. BUT, they will have a new ignition, how they gonna put gas in it? Take the allen screws all out at the gas station, haha. Also cant use the helmet holder or take the seat off. I hope they just ride the hell out of it (she can take it) and drop it off somewhere, the tank was full so they might get 180 miles out of it.

the blue tail section, and the plate is Oregon M465811. The Oregon license plates are a small M over the 4 on the left then large 65811. Also the bike is not in Oregon anymore, I moved to Lubbock, Texas last August to go to Texas Tech University.

Keep the ?'s comin an ill keep answerin them

what brought you to Texas Tech from Oregon?! Nothing against T2, but that is a long way from home.

that sux man. it will help that it has the blue tail, though. that's unusual and will make it easier for us to spot. chances are it won't make it out this way, but if it hit's the net one of us will see it.

Was looking for good engineering programs, MIT was the best but my gpa was only 3.78 and I needed a 3.9 to get in there. Found Arizona State and Texas Tech both had reputable programs, ASU wanted me to do too much dancin around to get in an double T let me right in.
