How about San Francisco group ride?

A friend of mine and I are planning on going down Skyline this Saturday (3/22/2008), anyone want to join us? Probably leave San Francisco around 10 or 11 AM, ride down 280 to 92, head down 35 a ways, and head back. I would imagine it will be 3 to 3.5 hours in total. Anyone who wants to join and is in the area, drop a line.

Alright,
Mel

That sounds fun, but I think it's a little too far for a day trip (gotta work Friday and Sunday). I'm coming through there in a couple of months on my way down to San Diego. Maybe you can meet me for part of it.

Thanks,
Mel

I gotta say, Elf, you should watch what you say on public forums like this. I wasn't offended by what you said, but a lot of my friends here in the Bay Area would be.

Why would they be offended???? After all we are all adults here just joking around i hope reg71 knows that seems as if we really have some folks on here that take these things seriously.. and complain and maybe cry (kc) not sure, but if i offended someones sicking lifestyle i appologize afterall we should be able to put things in our body if we want right (gerbils especially), after all your colon was design for other things then a bowel movement right rite, freedom of expression its ok to dress like a woman even though your a man(?)
to be gay and proud well thats great thats why they hold gay pride rallys i dont go to them but if the demented enjoy that more power to them..as the great rodney king said can't we all get along

Whoa... I was just pointing out that a little sensitivity goes a long way. I didn't want to start a whole thing with you. I can't even tell if your serious? If you are serious, what you said (and have said since) is incredibly offensive. That's sort of the point, it's hard to tell what your intentions are from some typed words and a lot of smiling and frowning faces, which is why I would watch what I say. Freedom of speech is great, but using it in a respectful manner is better.

A SF ride would be great in the near future. Just post again when another event is not happening and I'll sign up.

Mel,
That's one of my favorite rides. I usually cross on Dumbarton and go through Woodside, up to Alice's and hook a left, either road, and eventually to the coast. Cruise through Half Moon Bay and all that good stuff.
I'm foreseeing a lot of traffic in that area this weekend though. Good luck with the ride and ditto what the surfer said, it's all about timing. Hit me up next time though.

I think you're probably right about traffic, maybe we'll try and get out the door a little early. I agree that it is an amazing ride. I feel very fortunate that I live so close.

Maybe next time,
Mel
