Ok, here is the shizzle from today. Casey (Nepix), West (Viff), and myself Jason) went for a ride today in southeastern San Diego County. It turned out to be an interesting day. We managed to get some really good riding in before the issues. I'll let the pictures do some talking.

Viff feeding the beast! The mondo windshield DEMANDS respect! Riding behind Viff is like drafting a NASCAR racecar! He punches a hole in the atmosphere like you would not believe!

Nepix nursing his girl.

All three bikes.

Dark pic.....first rest stop, which turned out to be MUCH longer than anticipated.

Turns out the old Radian had had better days...and this was not one of them. She apparently had a stuck float, which was causing gas to dump gas into the airbox and out the overflow/breather tube. This is a gravity system, no fuel pump. Here is Nepix with his factory "stuck float fix-it tool" available at a Honda shop near you!

Me with it as well....yes, it was silly and dumb hope, but we just saw if a tap might jar the float loose, turns out best as we can figure it, the number two carb was had the stuck float....could not get at it. Too bad we didn't have a hammer! We didn't have a spark plug wrench, and we were worried about hydrolocking the cylinder, so we called on the YO!

The "YO" to the rescue! Yes, we had to break MAN LAW and ride double on the way back.....I had to stop Viff from doing a reach around twice! Horny bastard!

Strapping her in the YO!

The old girls sitting pretty at my place.

Just woke up from a nap, I'm going to wait until tomorrow when I have more energy to clean those carbs out.

I really need to get either another Interceptor or FZ6, haha, maximum lean angle on the Radian isn't all that much, especially since you guys have lead weighted fingers!

I'll let you guys know what happens tomorrow when I get the carbs off. I yanked the plugs before I took my nap and cranked it over, luckily no gas shot out of the wells; so I don't think the cylinders would have hydrolocked. That's not to say that the gas didn't simply just end up in my crank case however.

So so, I think the previous owner put my needle spring seat on backwards, unfortunately all the pictures online and in my service manual don't show what the correct direction is.

that sounds like a great ride (except for the broken bike part). we used to ride out to Otay quite a bit after work (I used to work on North island) & then back up north & home (North park). it was a bitchen after work ride.

I cant wait to get a few more laps in on the bike.
