Ride Report 7/4/08

So, as most of you know through my bragging, the 4th was my BDay.
As a present to myself, I took the weekend off and rode out to Santa Rosa to hang out with Norcal Boy and SilverSurfer 800.
Norcal is an excellent host, and he and SS are super tour guides.
The ride out there from my house is 350 miles, which I did in about 5 hours on Fri the 4th. We had our formal introductions, drank some beer, ate some food, and saw some awesome fireworks in a small town. Norcal took pics of those, so I'll let him post those.

Saturday was over 200 miles of Rock and Roll all over North Central and coastal Cali.

A good time was had by all. And we didn't die.
Oh, and for those of you who put up with me whining about my chain, thank you...it stayed on.

Alright smartasses, that's what I get for trying to save bandwidth.
Here we go.
Sunday we rode down to the Bay again through point Reyes. Saw a couple other viffers cruising the opposite way. Billions of cruisers.

Then we rode up top of the Bay to check out the WWII gun implacements.

And some other beutiful sights along the way.

More to come.

Monday, I had all day to ride home. So, I took a few extra breaks in Wine Country(Sonoma and Napa Counties) to take some pics for the wife.

And back home in Susanville.

The odometer started at 10030.

That's 1100 miles in four days on a stock seat.
WEEE HAW!!!!!

And that's all I have to say about that.
Thanks again to Norcal and SilverSurfer. You guys rock.

OK here are a few fast pass videos we shot in a 90 degree corner just as the afternoon started warming up. Because I'm a complete idiot

i for got my tools i needed to remove the mounting plate on the camera so i could get at the button to change the tape! I have plans to get a LOT of footage next get together so I'll be prepared...

That weekend was all about the riding. There were some beverages consumed, and some good food along the way...
But the roads were the main reason for the trip, so we didn't let the other stuff interfere.
