Vegas Bike Fest

I thought I would let you all know about Vegas Bikefest over the weekend of Oct 3-5. I have never been to it, so can't vouch for if it's good or not. However, I CAN guarantee that if you came out for it, I could take you on a ride or two around Vegas... not as much fun as CA riding, but some unique places. Also, that weekend, Femoto is having Street Demos at the Speedway and I know at least one of the days is ladies AND gents. If anybody wanted to make it out here for the weekend, I have one guest room with twin beds and some floor space, as well as a sofa bed and floor space in the living room. I also have plenty of garage space for bikes... check it out at Las Vegas BikeFest™

This sounds like the right time to go for me. I am heading over to Apple Valley to help out mom with some projects then up to St George Utah to see Dad. If your offer still open Ill plan my trip around this date. Brian

Yup, come on by! I'll PM you with my location and contact info. I'm really close to the strip, yet far enough away. It should be a good time.

I hope this turns out different than most bike meets I have seen/been to.

This sounds cool....personally, I am just apprehensive about bike meets in general, as most I have seen/been to seem to have a large concentration of squids.....who has the most BLING....look at my 4 foot polished swingarm and 240 tire....look at my cool helmet hawk...watch me stunt in my shorts and flip-flops...and so on.

Ok, my rant is over...I am gonna go back to washing my blowup dolls for this weekend....

I would agree... I generally don't go to these things, but sometimes the vendors have some good wares you don't get other places... or you can get a better price because they don't want to cart it all back. I'm thinking we can all take one of the days to head out of Vegas and visit some of the old towns, mines, etc... just mix it up...

Crap, for that matter, we could ride through Valley of Fire and around Lake Mead, head over around Hoover Dam... and if anyone was up for a longer trip, we could head out to Zion Nat'l Park. It's about a 3 hour ride from my house, but easily do-able as a day trip, and it's beautiful out there. I'm up for options.

Oh, and I realized the BikeFest is actually Oct. 2-5, I had posted 3-5. So, if anybody wanted to come earlier, you'd be welcome...

I think you will have to get a city issued permit if you want Long to be able to be allowed in Vegas....he has the looking for them in CA still....something about a water fountain in city hall...
