Long Beach Int'l M/C Show - Dec 5-7th

Hello folks! Another member's (I_needit) thread just reminded me to ask something.

Who all is going to the Long Beach International Motorcycle Show (Dec 5th-7th? What day(s)? Are you riding or caging?

I am planning on Saturday, the 6th so far. I will probably be hitting it early in the opening hours.

Any VFRW folks interested in meeting up let me know. We could just chat at the show, or grab a bite afterwards maybe.

For the folks who are kind of new, heres the poop on the shows and where and when they will be.

Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows - Home Page

A shameless plug (Mea Culpa) for the Seattle show, Catch the Soundrider display on the second floor and the VME display of older iron. Online tix are a few bucks less than at the gate too. Another nifty about the Seattle show is that bikes park free.

last year I went to the one up north. it's closer for me but very similar. i'll see if anyone around here has a pref cause we can ride to either. there's not much i'm excited about seeing this year, though...

Good catch there Stuka. Everyone should know that Long Beach is out on the coast near Ilwaco unless someone has snuck in another Long Beach Show in Mississippi.

Is there any info. anywhere on the show? Like vendors and stuff? Is the one in Long Beach anything like the one they have in San Mateo? I went to the SM one a few times when I was in San Jose, and it was great... lots of stuff for non-Harley riders. If the Long Beach one is like that, I "may" try to make a ride out for it and hang out with you guys. I couldn't find any specifics on it though, so somebody let me know...??

Same show. Try Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows - Home Page for the full schedule. Shows vary a little from place to place due to local participation of various clubs and local vendors.

The three major sponsors are Cycle World Magazine, Toyota and Progressive Insurance.

So are we not supposed to paste in links? Is that a no-no? Or is this some waaay cool thing that makes links look like what they ain't so it confuses all the nice folks who are wanting to see the new
VFR's that will be in the shows.

Hey Karen,

They are pretty much all the same (as in having the same basic format of bikes), except for the local vendors/suppliers, and some custom bikes that are usually local as well. I went last year, and I thought it was great. I had a good time, and so did the gf.

Hey, there's a good chance I may be going to this. I talked to a couple of my riding buddies about it, and they were already thinking of going... we'll see what the week brings and how everybody's feeling as we get closer.
