thought I might chime in again here/ the date from Long are correct. That is when I am officially off. Ride ins Fri or possibly thurs if needs be. I may or may not be working Thurs but fri sat sun I am off. Most likely I'll be back to work Mon. even if I do work thurs, if you are itchin not to miss anything, you can arrive later in the afternoon and we'll get everything ready for thos arriving Friday. Long or Jason, give us another tally and see where we are... also, route requests can start now. I'll try to get rough time estimates of the route. those of you who are not from around here, click on the RIDE REPORTS link in my signature and browse around where I live and tell me where you'd like to ride. We'll try to hit what we can. Bring your cameras and extra underwear if you plan on keeping up with me.

note:
if you want to ride across fort hunter liggett you will need CURRENT insurance/registration motorcycle endorsement.
ride you own ride, you can always find your way home and we always pause at turnoffs
if you want to comm two way, at least a few of us will be using them

We just have to make sure we bring extra gas for Brian this time! I'm sure Jason doesn't want to suck gas again

As for rout(w)s We must hit Rossi's... I mean Reggie's Driveway again. Heading to the Penny Bar works for me as well. Maybe we can top our last high speed record...

There is a place in San Fran that rents 'em. It is only a few hours up the road from Reg's.

I will likely be leaving here Wednesday to arrive sometime Friday. I will spoon with someone. Stuke, the cat, Reg's nextdoor neighbours french poodle. Hell, you got wild bears there? I am easy. Prolly motel it nearby. Reg. You got a motel within walking distance or will a taxi be in order?

I will be slabbing it down the I5 most the way. Can anyone give me some idea as to what I may expect in the highter elevations of Washington and Oregon. The only think I will be concerned about is snow and ice. I have the gear for everything else. Anyone heading down from north that I may meet up with?

Here's the rental link...

I almost tried this place once. They always seem to have the newest models for rental and the prices aren't too bad.

Wow! That is expensive. about 4 times the price of renting a midsized car. Hell even the Yamaha C3 is a "C" note a day.

I'm sure we can find a spot for you here, but if you really want a motel, there are a few close by. One or two is are less than a mile from my house and very close to the bar we stumbled home from last time. I live less than one mile from the main drag and downtown. That's walking distance to me, but I don't how far you like to walk. To my wife, it's too far, but I used to live in San Francisco and you get used to walking there. the closest motel is Rancho Tee which used to get bad reviews but looks like it''s been cleaned up a bit. the next closest is the carleton which is very nice and has it's own bar but you pay quite a bit to stay there. there is a motel 6 but it's over 2 miles or at least close to 2 miles.

Nardy,

Colin said in the other thread (Riverside? San Bernardino?) that he was a yes, but wouldn't be 100% until the end of March when he finds out about a couple jobs or something... Looks like it may be just me and maybe him from our area.

As always I have a spare room with a twin bed, nice size couch and floor space if someone needs a place to stay about 20 minutes south of Reg's.

Reg's Roadhouse

I'll be joining you on Friday as well from Sonora (near Stockton/Modesto). Anyone want meet up on I-5 or anywhere North of SLO and ride down together? We can meet just about anywhere, and maybe take the coast highway down. I'm easy...but I only spoon with my wife.
