Reg: Keg, I have been thinking.
Keg: Yes, Reg?
Reg: Well, I have been thinkin after all the joy you gave us at SLOIII maybe I could do something for you.
Keg: Yes Reg?
Reg: Well I have it in my mind that you have never been motorcycle riding before and you might enjoy it.
Keg: I might indeed, Reg.
Reg: Well, let's get you loaded up and go then. You don't have a helmet do ya?
Keg: Very funny Reg.
Reg: Ok. You are all strapped in. This way you look like a jet engine. Maybe next time you can ride sidesaddle.
Keg: Ok.
Reg: This is Templeton Rd just out behind my house. It kind of runs along the Salinas quote/unquote River.
Keg: Hehe. I see what you mean. That looked more like a little ditch to me. I think maybe you guys added a couple inches of runoff to that the weekend of the party, though.
Reg: Like you had nothing to do with that.
Keg: True.
Reg: As you can see, the weather is gorgeous again. Spring is very nice in this area. Still a bit chilly at night, but we'll take what we can get and be happy about it.
Keg: Let's go hit more curves.
Reg: A keg after my own heart. Let's go.
Reg: This is South El Pomar. Sometimes I ride my bicycle out here. Climbing this hill on a bike is a biotch!
Keg: I bet. It's pretty neat on a motorcycle, though.
Reg: This road is a little shortcut across from South El Pomar to El Pomar. It's called Almond drive and it's a nice little road between some rances and vineyards.
Keg: Yeah, it's kind of quaint.
Reg: Well, we better move along.
Keg: Ok, but let's not rush to get back there.
Reg: Sure, no prob, We'll turn onto El Pomar up here and then take a left onto Lupine Dr just to kill some more time. I once competed in a Triathlon that came through here during the bike leg.
Keg: Cool, Captain Fitness. {while you are hauling an empty keg on the back of a motorcycle}
Reg: Did you say somethin?
Keg: I said, 'nice day aint it?'
Reg: Oh, yeah. Sure.
Reg: Well, I have enjoyed our time together, but we must part ways. Who knows. Maybe we'll meet again after you have washed up and gotten refilled.
Keg: You probably say that to all the kegs.
Reg: No, I mean it. You are a special keg. I will never forget you. I will write about you.
Keg: Really? You really mean it? You'll write about me?
Reg: Sure. Why not? People have written about stupider things.
Keg: Thanks, Reg.
Reg: Don't mention it. Well, here's home. I hope you enjoyed it. I bet you have never done that before, eh?
Keg: Not likely. I usually get used and forgotten.
Reg: Well, me and my friends aren't like the other guys. You tell the other kegs about us.
Keg: [sniff] Ok. [sniff] Goodbye, Reg.
Reg: Goodbye, Keg.

I almost felt sorry for that little keg... I had to fight back a tear or 2... i can't show that much emotion for a keg can I? I sure am going to miss him; i hope he can make it to SLO IV, I think he'll want to go for another ride. Alas I think he lived too short in this world. Everything will be alright, you won't be forgotten! Ride on young keg, ride on!

Did you write down the serial number? We could request it by number next time.
"Yes, I'd like to request keg#43201 please, in a Firestone DBA if you could."
"Excuse me?"
"Keg#43201. We are old friends. Tell him Reg is asking for him. He'll know."

That definitely made me laugh......and also reminded me of a vacation I took last summer. I got pulled over for having a case and a half of beer in plane sight on the back of my bike. The officer asked if I had been drinking and I said no, but I will be drinking quite heavily when I meet up with my friends in a half hour at our cabin. Anyhow, the officer laughed, wished me a good ride, and sent me on my way (after checking for signs of drinking).

I'm torn between the sexy female Angeling Jolie voice (but then the script would have to be re-written) and the Scooby-Doo voice.
Anyone else notice that Reg's name is one letter away from Keg?
