SLO County

Well guys, we had a nice Saturday afternoon ride. The a.m. ride ended up being me solo but I did get a couple new pics...

Here's the route I did...

Hwy 41E from Atascadero to Hwy 229 through Creston.... Here's a pic of me on 229:

After 229, I headed down 13 turns on Hwy 58W towards Santa Margarita... Then I turned left on Pozo Rd. Here's a couple pics from Pozo Rd:

While on Pozo Rd, I was behind a CHP car so I got to enjoy the scenery. I turned left on River Rd after crossing the bridge to Pozo. The road turned to gravel after a few miles and so I went on gravel for several miles until it ran into Park Hills Rd where I turned right and followed it back to Pozo Rd again. I noticed that Pozo Rd is nice scenery but it's pretty rough. Anyway, headed home from there and waited for the afternoon ride. You heard me right, Reg is running two-a-days VFR style.

Met up with Tori from the board here riding his 6th gen Red, and his brother riding an 80s era Ninja. We headed out 41 W to Morrow Bay. I have some stock photos:

From there we caught Old Creek Rd back towards hwy 46. Here's a pic of the lake on Old Creek Rd. (I dont know the name of it)

From there we caught Hwy 46 back towards Paso Robles. You can see 46 in the background of this photo:

And once we got back on Hwy 101 South, we exited at Vinyard and headed east to Templeton Rd and took it all the way back to Hwy 41 east then back through Creston on 229 again. That's right, I like it so much, I did it 3 times today. After that we split and Tori and his brother headed on back to South County and I headed back up to Atascadero. Anyway, we had a good time. Next time, I'll get pics of all the bikes, and hopefully I'll give more notice and we'll get some takers on the ride....

yeah, that's what I call them, too. I'm trying to get better about getting my ass off the seat and not leaning far enough to grind. I actually didn't scrape during that photo. I was trying to go slow enough that my wife could get a pic of me with the digital. I was on that road the day before yesterday and saw a cop at the town going in and one at the town coming out so I had a nice leisurely ride to work... I cam in 2 mins late, though... :)
