Pre-Crash Ride

Well it started out pretty good a few weeks back. Met up with Tony on his go fast carbon fiber Aprilla at Cambria with some of his buddies. We gassed up and got some grub.

Then north up HWY 1 to Ragged point where we all kept going except for one Katana. Missed the turn and ran wide going left. Lucky bike was still rideable and he wasnt feeling the pain yet. Managed to get it in the dirt to help keep minimal damage to him and the bike.

We lost everyone as they got spooked and went home. Tony and I continued for another 50 miles or so up north and stopped at this look out:

We stopped and snacked and talked to tourist. Met a nice Japanese man Whos good friend owns RK CHains...go figure. We headed on home. I stopped at Tony's house for a bit to borrow a chain tool and headed home. I should have took the straight road as I was probably a bit to tired for the twistys. The rest of the story is under: We have the technology, we can rebuild it.

Also found the possible reason for the crash. Look for the rear tire feeling squirrelly thread :)

Looks like a perfect riding day other than the Ninja incident, but the most shocking image is the $3.49 price for regular

Glad everyone is okay. Great pictures. You have a beautiful area to ride. We just got hit with another week of below freezing temps and snow in Ontario Canada. I think we are going to jump right from Winter to Summer. Just trying to be patient as I look at my VFR in the protection of my garage. Good luck on the repairs. Cheers!

If I layed my bike down like that, I wouldn't be smiling, I'd be crying! Hopefully he can get it fixed without going broke.

The scenery looks like something right out of a travel brochure. It's still winter here in New York.

beats also breaking your ankle when you lowside ATGATT sometimes you still can get hurt. Plastic and metal are easily replaced. Hope he didn't suffer any other nagging injuries!

Hey - I like the little dude enjoying the shade under the aprilia in the picture there. I'm assuming he's from the same bunch from the other thread.....
