Goodbye VFR, Hello FZ1 ( Long-ish)

Hello all,

I've owned about 15 V4 Hondas and one Vmax. I
recently decided to try another direction and picked
up a 2007 Yamaha FZ1. I'll post a more detailed
comparison later, but my first impressions are as
follows:

The FZ1 fuel injection is somewhat more touchy than
the carbs on the VFR, but the transmission itself is
smoother.

Below 4K RPM the FZ1 lacks any power to speak of, but
from 4500 to 9000... quite an incredible difference.
The engine spins much more freely than the VFR.

The seat is less comfortable, but all other ergos are
much more comfortable than the VFR.

There is some buzz in the 5K to 7K rev range, but it's
tolerable.

Easiest oil change ever! less than 10 minutes start
to cleanup.

The suspension is light years ahead of the Honda.
Fully adjustable rear, Fully adjustable inverted
front. Takes more effort to transition, but much more
stable in corners.

Mods so far:

Pazzo shorty levers, Corbin Smuggler trunk, Ride
Engineering fender eliminator and LED-lit license
frame.
