Speaking of bulbs...

What is the general consensus regarding replacement bulbs for behind the lcd
display on a 5th gen?

Riding back from Nova Scotia this past weekend, I noticed all of my bulbs
behind this display were out making night time riding an even more fun
adventure. (I suspected one or more of them were out before, but now it's
totally black (unlit)).

I remember a thread a while back about some bulbs but honestly don't
remember. How difficult/pita job is this?

Thanks.

Easy job. Just order every single bulb 'cuz you have to take the front
cowl off and might as well do them all by the time you get that far
along.

RE: Speaking of bulbs...

My lack of technical knowledge is well documented on this list but ...

*all* the bulbs went ...

Doesn't that sound more like a connector not connecting.
If one bulb had gone that might be the bulb.

RE: Speaking of bulbs...

Thanks for the feedback so far.

To better clarify, I believe one or more bulbs have gone out in the past
dimming that part of the display. It wasn't until the end of this trip did
the final bulb go, so I don't believe it's a connectivity issue.

Looking at the fiche, there are 3 different kinds of bulbs listed. Anybody
know which one (#3, 4, or 5) illuminates the LCD panel? My guess is 5.

Might make this a winter project.

Thanks.

Rob
