Bike was towed home and now its time to start trouble shooting. How old is the battery? What are your i4C readings while you were riding? High 13s - 14.5VDC? In addtion to the grounds and connectors (R/R and stator wire quick connect), check around the 30A main fuse / starter relay. There may be some corrossion / heating / melting going on there. Good luck. Re: 1997 VFR Electrical Problem - Won't Start / Main Fuse - StarterRelay....
Thanks Mrydr, I didn't know the VFR '97 had a main fuse (my '97 Valkyrie
does behind the right panel under the seat) but I'll look for it. Thanks for everyone's messages. I've also been searching the web as well. The thing that confused me most is why did the dash lights come on when I hit the starter button. That's weird.
