RE: 1996 VFR 750 using synthetic Brake fluid

I used to use some Valvoline synthetic fluid that specifically stated (on
the bottle) that it was compatible with non-synthetic DOT 3 and DOT 4
fluids.

I would check the label on the bottle. If it's compatible, and if it says
"exceeds ... DOT 4", then no problem.

Subject: 1996 VFR 750 using synthetic Brake fluid

I have just replaced the rear brakes.....not a straight forward task that I
anticipated. Anyway, my fluid ran empty on bleeding and the Master cylinder
reservoir cap says "use DOT 4 only". I have some synthetic valvoline brake
fluid that is unopened and it says exceeds DOT 3 and DOT 4.

Does anyone have any comments about problems using synthetic fluid in the
brake system?
