Re: Number three has landed [NVFRC]
Congrats, Murray!
Casey would be a wee bit controversial, so might I suggest something more appropriate: Bridgestone. Good healthy weight & length. (I wouldn't call her 'little' ;) (Mine were 9.0lbs, 10 lbs 2oz, and 9 lbs, (4.08kg, 4.59kg, & 4.08kgrespectively)) First 2 are boys, third our girl. Casey works both ways in the U.S., why not in Oz (or are you in NZ? Then it definitely works ;) ) Congrats! -- travis '00 VFR - Yellow Submarine - Berkshires MA, USA Custom Mirror Extenders http://sawyer.is-a-geek.net/~tsawyer/mirext.html Dual-Star Heated Grips, High mount MIG Indy, Sargent seat _______________________________________________ vfr mailing list vfr@xxxxxx For subscription and delivery options: https://lists.cs.wisc.edu/mailman/listinfo/vfr |

Re: Number three has landed [NVFRC]
I was going to suggest Vifferonica -- but Casey is a wonderful name.
Congratulations to you and the family, Murray, and well done. (JZH, *everyone* knows "Bridgstone" is a boy's name.) Here's some quick research for you: --- The boy's and girl's name Casey \c(a)-sey\ is pronounced KAY-see. It is of Irish and Gaelic origin, and its meaning is "alert, watchful". >From the male Gaelic name Cathasaigh. Also variant of Cassie. Caycee and Cacia are short forms of Acacia. For more information, see also the related name Kelsey. Baby names that sound like Casey are Cassy and Cassey. Casey is a very popular female first name and a very popular surname (source: 1990 U.S. Census). HTH, JohnA in LA - not Irish but both kids have Irish names. ;) _______________________________________________ vfr mailing list vfr@xxxxxx For subscription and delivery options: https://lists.cs.wisc.edu/mailman/listinfo/vfr |

She was beautiful, but utterly mad. Because of her propensity to utter (truthful) prophecies of doom for those around her, the name has taken on the mantle of 'Harbinger of Doom'. Knowing what I know, that name would be the /last/ on the list of names for me to consider. _______________________________________________ vfr mailing list vfr@xxxxxx For subscription and delivery options: https://lists.cs.wisc.edu/mailman/listinfo/vfr |

It's kind of a regional thing. Whenever I hear Cassandra, I always remark 'Harbinger of Doom', but here in Indiana, anyone within earshot assumes that I'm talking about the upcoming Monster Truck Show. Congrats Murray, I hope that Casey and mom get home soon. Probably its another one of my preconceived notions, I would have thought a 'monster truck show' crowd would have no knowledge, or interest, in ancient mythology. :-) _______________________________________________ vfr mailing list vfr@xxxxxx For subscription and delivery options: https://lists.cs.wisc.edu/mailman/listinfo/vfr |
