Integrated Mirrors are installed

Vifferatti,

I just finished installing a set of integrated mirrors on the Bird of Prey, they were a direct replacement for the Y2K models I have been using since mid 2000. They have the LED turn signals built in just as the newer model bikes feature. I wired them into the turn signal circuit and just finished my test ride( a little chilly @ 68 degrees ). They work great and I believe they snazz up the old girl :-)

E-Bay has two styles, they run $50.00 a pair plus S&H

FWIW, I have more options than I can count.

How are they at speed? Do they vibrate?

Do they hold their adjustment?

The picture looks good but it is hard to tell until they are on the bike going
down the road.

Thanks,

Whelen flashers?? What color(s), blue?

It's always fun responding to fire calls on the bike......

What a great idea! I wish I had known about these before I bought the
$12 replacement mirrors from Ebay - after spending $60 on ONE mirror
from local Honda dealer :( -turgut

Re: Integrated Mirrors are installed

Put your sunglasses on--the same seller also has them available in chrome...

Like other "Y2K" mirrors, these will also fit earlier VFRs (back to
1990 FL), but you might need different rubber gaskets and longer
screws.

I'm tempted (by the black ones!), but my experience with aftermarket
mirrors has not been good. How does the quality compare? Although it
might take a season or two to become apparent, the reflective backing
on the mirrors must be of high quality or it will start to corrode
around the edges.

James,

Do you know if these are the same identical length as the Y2K Honda
mirrors? I have Y2Ks on my '98 now, but would like to get the mirrors
out just a tad further and I like the idea of the turn signals in the
mirror housings. So if these happened to be a tad longer I would go for
them. Assuming that your vibration testing goes successfully. It would
be kinda pointless to have snazzy mirrors that you can't see behind you
with.
