Dunlop Roadsmarts

It's almost April, there's a mix of rain and snow falling outside, and
the front end of my 98 VFR is completely disassembled following spring
upgrades.

Time to talk about tires and oil, right?!?

I just read the review in Rider of the new Dunlop Roadsmart tires where
they were compared favorably to the 220s. Since my last two sets were
the Diablo Stradas, I thought I would check in with the list of overall
experiences with the 220s.

I got a year and 6,000 miles out of the last set of Stradas (well,
actually the rear) and am OK with that for their handling, but am
interested in trying out something new.

Anyone?

Related to the above, I will have a Strada front take off that's still
got lots of tread left on it if anyone is interested. Cost of shipping
and it's yours, though it'll be a few weeks before it's off the rim.

Re: Dunlop Roadsmarts

I haven't heard about the Roadsmart, is it replacing the D220? I had a set of D220s on my '96 that I liked alot. When I sold that bike to fellow lister Ed Ostack they had about 6k on them and I'd say they probably had another 4k useful life left in them.
