Getting back into riding, new bike advice please.
Hello everyone,
I am getting back into riding after 4-5 years of not owning a bike. The bike's I previously ridden are: Nighthawk, ZX6, VFR800, and an FZ1. I am looking at getting another bike that can be either new or used, but frankly nothing jumps out and calls my name. I like the refinement of the VFR. Everything was buttery smooth. The only down side was not enough power. I like the power of the FZ1, and it was actually more comfortable for me for long rides. However, it's definitely not as refined as the VFR. My perfect bike would be a VFR with slightly higher and closer bars, but with FZ1 like power. The main riding style can be described as sport-touring, with emphasis on sport. Is there any new model I am not aware of that fits this little niche? I need some help to open up my horizon and make a good decision on my next bike. thanks Owen --------------------------------- You rock. Maybe a zx-9 if you can find a nice one. -- Jerry Possession of car keys does not transform someone with the mental development of a 6 year old into an adult. _______________________________________________ vfr mailing list vfr@xxxxxx For subscription and delivery options: https://lists.cs.wisc.edu/mailman/listinfo/vfr |
