FW: Spam: Hawk For sale Starter Bike!!!!!!!!!!!
-----Original Message-----
From: HawkGT Discussion List [mailto:HAWKGT-L@xxxxxx] On Behalf Of Mike Conlon Sent: Thursday, May 08, 2008 9:23 AM To: HAWKGT-L@xxxxxx Subject: Spam: Hawk For sale My good friend Randy is selling his Hawk. This belonged to some other lister before he bought it, Rob something from Atlanta maybe? Located in Asheville NC. He did a IB SS1K on it last year riding it up to ME and back--I rode it a bit up here and it's a nice modded Hawk. If interested, please contact him directly at the email listed below. ------------------- Good points on this bike: CBR F2 front end (for cartridge forks and better rubber) VFR rear tire (better tire) Six-piston PM front brake with rotor upgrade (best braking bike I've owned) GSXR master cylinder Teleflex multi-adjustable clip-ons Fox shock Carbon fiber fender Buell blinkers with upgraded flashers Upgraded wiring harness (to increase headlight) Recent chain and sprocket and fairly new tires Lowered Corbin seat SS lines all around Pit bull stand -- maybe, depends on what the bike goes for Bad points: No clocks (I took them off because I thought the bike would look better, but now there's no recorded mileage.) Mismatched paint (The PO had the rear painted an off-red that doesn't match the tank) Small pinholes in the pain on the tank (This happened during my Iron Butt when some sort of acid hit me. It also shattered my face shield, but it didn't stop me or the bike.) It's got a SuperTrapp header mated to a VERY short (and loud) ST can. The bike will need a valve adjustment and it has sat for a while. I picked up a Triumph Sprint because I'm interested in more LD rides and my wife got the Hawk. Unfortunately, she didn't ride it very much so it's sat a lot since last summer. Extras: Uni carb filters, stylish magnetic bag, cool 919 flyscreen, manual. I've got the F2 calipers around here if you want to switchback to dual two-piston brakes. The PM is amazingly powerful, but not very progressive. I'd put the miles at around 36,000, but I can't be sure. Asking $2200 OBO. Trades for Mac laptops and CPUs considered. Might consider partial trade on a beater DP bike like an XL500. e-mail randymoser@xxxxxx for details ____________________________________________________________________________ ________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
