Be thankful you weren't hurt. Several listers responded with their
suggestions
for factory oem parts, I'll share mine. I've had good luck with Western
Honda,
located in Scottsdale, Ariz. Despite being "Zonnies", I've found them to be
a great
parts source .I found them in back of Cycle world or Motorcyclist mag
where they advertise. They Offer free shipping for most orders over $100.00
and sell parts for below MSRP. In fact, if you have part numbers from
shopping
around for best price on a part, and you tell them another dealer's quoted
price,
they can/ may beat that price to get the sale. (Have done so in the past)
Most importantly, do follow others advice & shop around !
An earthquake struck while I was on my VTR, throwing me & it to the ground.
The local/closest Honda dealer quoted parts prices (& provided parts #'s )
for my comparison shopping. Western Honda had the best price on parts
(almost exactly 1/2 of what my local dealer quoted!) Even have a 800 #
