battery failure

btw, I'm on my 5th VFR, so I have been thru a few batteries. 3 to RR failure. My 04 RT just got a new battery - it was $130 and the salesman didn't even bat an eye, welcome to expensiveville.
OTOH, my Aprilia 01 RSVR battery is stock. If you want to start the bike, you get two tries. On the third try, it won't quite turn over, so you have to charge it. Aprilia's have an occasional habit of cracking the main sprocket cam thingy (some technical term for replace the engine), so its not healthy to try and just let turn over for awhile. It has not been on a tender daily, I've left it alone for months on end(healing distracts you like that), and it will start up right now. I would just buy another battery, fill it, charge it o/night, and be done with it. If it acts up, test the RR. I had one version that had me return two batteries, thinking they were defective, only to discover... well, you know.
