94-97 Tail shake

Greg,

I used adhesive backed closed cell foam weatherstrip
around the entire perimeter of the tail section.
The plastic tail section actually rests on this when
mounted and a side benefit is to seal the gap around
the tail end when riding in rain.My '95 was like this
for years without any shake or cracking whatsoever.
Of course, the whole bike 'cracked' a few years ago,
but that's another story...

I just got off the 94, and noticed that the rear half-moon shaped cowl
piece
with the word "HONDA" on it cracked and missing a corner. I guess they
didn't
have room on it to fit "This entire HONDA plastic rear end shakes like a
SOB,
and will eventually stress crack, since we didn't design a sturdy enough
subframe to suppport it."

The new ones, I assume, are crazy money. If you have one in good/perfect
shape, drop me a line @ DoubtingGThomas@xxxxxx.

-greg
