93 starter relay burnout
The starter relay on my 93 fried the connections to the wiring harness
and I need some of the collective knowledge of the list. I have checked the Reg/Rec and it looks okay but I may have them check at the dealers when I run over there (probably won't cost me anything). What else should I check? What are my options on replacing the relay and connector (besides getting another wiring harness)? Thanks, bradley rogers _______________________________________________ Vfr mailing list Vfr@xxxxxx For subscription and delivery options: https://lists.cs.wisc.edu/mailman/listinfo/vfr |

Then you can splice it into your wire harness. Otherwise there is no other way to obtain said connector without purchasing an entire wire harness. I've got a relay off of a different Honda sitting on the shelf, I think it was a cbr600. Don't remember the year. Anyway, I discovered that it wouldn't work in my VFR750 because the positive and negative terminals were reveresed and the terminals on the ends of the pos/neg wires on the VFR are tabbed so as to only fit on one side. So I ended up buying a new relay from honda so that the power leads would connect without trouble. Then I discovered that the 4 wires in the connector that had melted on mine were not in the same positions. So I had to swap them. Make sure you check and correct the position of the wires if you do what I did and buy a connector off a different bike.
