VFR Mirror loosening
After my left mirror replacement, whenever someone (pedestrian) bumps
into the mirror -- happens often if I park on a busy street, my mirror loosens. That is, when I push it back to its real place, it won't stay there and with the wind, it creeps closed. I take out my hex set and fix it, but it's annoying. I was wondering if I didn't put the washers in the correct place or something.. what could be the cause of this loosening? Thanks! -turgut _______________________________________________ vfr mailing list vfr@xxxxxx For subscription and delivery options: https://lists.cs.wisc.edu/mailman/listinfo/vfr |

Re: VFR Mirror loosening
Use some blue Loctite on the threads. Don't use red Loctite. Blue is
"service replaceable." Red makes it very hard to get an item loose once used.....been there, done that, not fun on disassembly. Re: VFR Mirror loosening
Ya use BLUE Lock tight but I also put a nylon washer between the mirror and base to help. Go to any hardware store and look in the pluming department for the proper size.
