NVFRC: RE: XM antenna question
He grinned. Don't you know what that means?
And in fairness, he didn't ask if it was OK to shorten it, or if we thought it was a good idea... he asked if anyone knew how. Your answer didn't answer his question, so maybe YOU are the one being the "smart A$$ D-head" by "just passing out some info" that nobody asked for in the first place. Eric D. Now - I've gotta change my oil with Honda HP4, put the stock can back on, remove a shitload of mods, and get the damn bike to a Honda dealer for the past dozen services I've done myself since I ran across a whole pile of recommendations when I got out the manual to make sure I took the side cowl off following the recommended procedure so that I could replace the perfectly functioning but {gasp} shortened XM antenna! Thanks a lot! {GRIN} By the way, for historical / archive purposes: 1' antenna for Delphi models: http://www.myradiostore.us/antennas-...ady-antenna.ht ml -Mike >>> Denny Fair I think that XM recommends that you don't shorten the antenna lead. If you're not particularly experienced with a soldering iron, you've got 25' to practice with! >>> Jerry Hello all, I am trying to tidy up my XM installation. I need an antenna with a shorter lead than the standard 20 something feet. Does anyone out there know where I might find such a thing? Thanks to all in advance for any information.
