mirrors

I am changing my 1999 mirrors to 2000, besides the mirrors what else do I need new bolts or rubber gaskets?
I only bought the mirrors but when I look at the bolts that holds the mirror it doesn't look like it will work. Has anyone changed the mirrors? The 1999 mirrors are the ones that have the rubber or plastic covers (condoms) which do hide everything.

Yes, you need the new bolts (x4) and the new rubber base gaskets (x2)

You could source the 4 needed M6 allen head bolts locally (not from Honda),
can't remember the length or thread pitch, but you should be able to cipher
that out yourself easily enough.

RE: mirrors

Mine came with the rubber pieces and the bolts... It
was either Dynamohumm or Servicehonda, I can't
remember now... It was about $125 shipped.

Re: mirrors

I would mount those Y2K mirrors on a set of Travis's mirror extenders,
which allow you to watch for cages instead of watching your elbows.
