Carb Question

Hello All,
Coming out of lurk mode for a bit with a quick carb question.
I have a 96 VFR that has sat for most of the last two and half
years. I would ride it occasionally but it started running rough
so I stopped riding it altogether until I could pull the carbs
and clean them. I tried the Techron route but it didn't help so I
have pulled the carbs out and am getting ready to do a full tear
down and clean.
My question is, where are the air mixture screws hiding? The
parts fiche shows a screw set that looks to be the air mixture
screws but it is very vague as to where it goes. When I did the
carbs on my V65 Sabre they were behind a little metal plug but
what I thought was the metal plug looks like it just plugs a
through passage.
Thanks in advance for any help, I want to make sure to get them
out before I dip the carb bodies and ruin the oring that's in
there.
Speed Safe,
Don
