Re:Honda to VFR Owners: Drop Dead
At the annual dealer's meeting, Honda showed its corporate care for the
V-Four base by announcing Bold Old Graphics for the aging VTEC VFR. By dusting off a paint scheme that was popular in the Reagan administration, and sticking with a engine that buyers have been griping about since it was released, Honda said "Nah Nah Nah I can't hear you" to its loyal owner base. Honda spokesman told press representatives that if VFR owners don't like it, they can buy a V-4 sports tourer from another manufacturer. This is, what?, the 6th year coming up of the VTEC generation. In the past 4 years was the norm for changes. Let's see 94-97 = 4 model years 98-01 = 4 model years 02-07 = 6 model years What gives?
