Using a PCIII on a VTEC VFR

Sorry if this has been discussed, I searched the archives and came up
empty.

So I recently added a PCIII USB and the O2 eliminators to my '02 VFR. I
used the map on Dynojet's site. My bike has the Erion slip-ons and a K&N
air filter.

I am looking for a bit more power and smoothness throughout the range.
Overall I think the bike feels better, it seems to have more "grunt"
throughout the range. However, I have felt a bit of surging and the
point at which the VFR kicks in is even more noticeable.

My question is this: Is it better to eliminate the O2 sensors or not...
I had a guy whom seemed very knowledgeable on emission systems tell me
that the VTEC models have very sophisticated ECU's which rely on the O2
sensors to keep the system in check. He suggested that the PCIII is
really not so useful on the VTEC.

If I reconnect the O2 sensors, would that effectively defeat the PCIII?

What's the best option? Has anyone on the list used a PC with a VTEC?

Anyone have any maps they are willing to share?

Has anyone had a custom map done on their VTEC?

Thanks,

Doug

Re: Using a PCIII on a VTEC VFR

Just get a custom map and have the VTEC hit tuned when it is on the
dyno. The eliminators are there to provide a consisent signal to the
PCIII so it won't put the computer into an out of range condition
causing the FI light to turn on.
