SoCal long distance commuters

One cool thing I've noticed is the number of long distance commuters I've
seen on the freeways recently.
Tuesday night it was a CBR600F2 and me all the way from Costa Mesa to
Temecula and last night it was (I think) a Yamaha Midnight Star(?).
Same basic distance. And the funny thing was after splitting lanes
together for about 45 miles, both guys got off my exit in Temecula.

I am about to move close in to my work.
Spending all that time on the road for the past 13 years commuting from the
South Bay to Century City is getting old.
Just got to find the right garage, er, I mean house!

What a crappy commute. I guess the bonus is you can do it on 2 wheels,
rather than 4. Can you do it in less than an hour? If not I'd move...
or find another job.

You only get about 65,000 hours to live on this earth give or take a
few... I'll be damned if I'm going to waste 500 a year (10 h a week)
getting to and from *work*.

Think about it...

Gee, I use the 54.8 miles I commutee oneway as a way of rinsing out
the buffers of my brain.

as for the new Garage (and I don't mean house).
I look at this way, if I find the perfect garage with a so-so house,
then I can always talk the wife into remodeling and expanding the
house. I can even argue that it will raise the property value and
that it is improving our real estate investment.
If instead I go with the nicest house and try to work on the garage,
I will only get to hear how I keep throwing money away on that damm
crappy garage of MINE.

By the garage of your dreams and let the spouse learn to live with
the house it comes with!!!!

Spouse no longer an issue. Thus the reason for the move. %-/
Kids are grown so don't even have to worry about the school district.
