MUST SELL !!!
Hey all,
This weekend was a whirlwind of excitement. Ran off to Vegas and tied the knot! Amanda and I had a wonderful wedding at T.I. (Treasure Island for all you non Vegas types) and now I REALLY need to sell the VFR to help pay for both the wedding and upcoming honeymoon cruise. She hates to sell the VFR as much as I do but it's gotta go. We'll get back into riding in a few years, hopefully the list will still be here, but until then the VFR and all remaining gear, parts, spares etc. is up on the chopping block. I'd take $5,500 for the VFR and 6K for everything. Like I said, i REALLY need to sell so make me an at least semi-reasonable offer and I just might take it. Here's what's left: Clothing: Jackets and Pant Sets: 1) WILSON Leather Jacket and Pants Set. This is from their Open Road Series. Jacket has four front zipper pockets and is size XL. The pants, size 34, have an open bottom design so you can trim them as needed and tuck them into your boots if desired. Both are heavy but not for track use as they don't zip together. They make a great set of starter leathers and are better than a fashion jacket and jeans! Both are in great shape with very few signs of wear. 2) VANSON Semi-Perf Black Jacket with Yellow Vanson logo on shoulders, size 46. Adjustable hips, zipper closure on wrists. Non-perforated black pants, size 36. Zipper in back connects pants and jacket. Both in PERFECT condition, like new. The name says it all...VANSON! 3) ALPINESTAR Black with Red and Grey Jacket, size 44. Has formed elbows and adjustable hips for snug fit and snaps that secure the wrist zippers. Front zipper pull came off so I replaced it with another, the change was only cosmetic. Pants, size 36, are all black and show some signs of age but have never been down. The knee sliders still have a few laps left in them. This set means business, looks great and gets attention. 4) AGV (Made in Italy) 2-Piece Racing Suit, White with Black and Red, Size Euro 55, U.S. and U.K. 44. In great shape except that the zipper, that goes all the way around the suit, is starting to come off of the pants at the beginning of the zipper, still holds together perfect. Probably the warmest set I have but also the safest. No worries about going down but keep hydrated on those warm days at the track! Jackets: 1) JOE ROCKET Phoenix, Ballistic series. Red, fully perforated and very comfortable. It is similar to the Shift jacket but better quality and fitment. Adjustable sleeve width, adjustable hips and wrists, reflective zipper pulls on both front pockets and front zipper. The perfect summer cruising jacket with back, elbow and shoulder padding and a rear zipper to secure it to any pair of Joe Rocket riding pants. I wear this jacket the most but you couldn't tell to look at it, it's in great shape. 2) JOE ROCKET All Black Textile Alter-Ego Jacket, size L. This has to be the coolest jacket I own or have ever seen. This is a three-in-one, do-it-all jacket! It has removable outer panel that wraps all the way around the jacket and down the sleeves. This jacket will keep you warm in the winter when the panel is zipped in place, especially with the fully sleeved removable liner, or cool when the panel, and liner, is removed and stored in the included lightweight backpack. Hot, cold, warm, cool, no matter what the temperature this jacket has you covered. I particularly like it on those days that start cold and warm up by the end of the day. Leave the liner and panel in place when the day begins. When it starts to get warmer first take out the liner and put it in your tank bag, or the included lightweight backpack. If it gets even warmer, or even hot, remove the panel and you have a perforated jacket that will help keep you cool. It has great shoulder, elbow and back protectio! n, with or without the panel. Adjustable sleeve width to keep it snug with or without the liner and/or panel, zipper wrists and quick adjusing, elastic hip sizing. Then there is the thin reflective piping on the back and sleeves of the jacket. It looks grey or silver during the day but glows very brightly at night when light hits it. If I could keep only one jacket this would be the one. Pants: 1) JOE ROCKET fully perforated black pants that zip to any of the above Joe Rocket jackets. They are size L, 34-35, and have padded hips and soft armor in the knees. The reflective piping, like the Alto-Ego jacket, just below the knees gets attention at night. Tall zippers that go up past the knee make taking these pants off or putting them on over shoes, or even riding boots, a snap. The velcro closure on the bottom of the legs keeps them secured over your boots or tight around your ankles if you are wearing sneakers. (shame on you!) I've worn these over jeans, over suit pants and with shorts on hot days. The waist band has two adjustable straps, one on each side, for easy fitment over clothes or for those times after a big meal when you need an extra inch or two. Great pants, in great shape. Boots: 1) SIDI These are old, did I say old? Good, cause I meant it, an OLD set of riding boots that have seen better days. They make for a great decoration but I don't think I would wear them to the track. They have black toes and red, black, blue and white from the heel up. They have screw-in toe sliders, the right is worn down a lot more than the left. Size 44 1/2. 2) ALPINESTAR Tech Series. This pair is older, nothing like the Sidis, but still in very good condition. The soles were recently replaced by Alpinestar, free I might add, and still look brand new. They are amost all white with red and black and a little bit of grey too. They have velcro secured toe sliders and even sliders at the top of the boot too if you get really serious on the track. Both sets of sliders are brand new. A vertical vent behind the shift pad provides some ventilation. Not the lastest and greatest but still a great boot that I am very comfortable wearing, even at the track. Gloves: 1) Black thin leather, XL. No idea who makes 'em but they're better than not wearing gloves at all. They have a strap that wraps around your wrist and snaps in place to help hold them on and a fairly good sized gauntlet, I guess that makes them one step above gardening gloves. These are the backup to your backup gloves backup. 2) FIRST GEAR Black thin leather, XXL. A step up from the noname gloves I listed first but still nothing to write home about. They also have a gauntlet, although a small one, and wrap around strap for your wrist but this pair has velcro securing the strap so it's a little more adjustable. These are your backup gloves backup. 3) TOUR MASTER Thicker leather, white with red , XXL. These gloves are pretty old and it shows. Some of the metal rivets in the palm have come off and the padding is showing through. They have a large gauntlet that is secured by a large velcro patch and elastic in the wrists. The fingers, knuckles and sides of the wrists are padded for impact. They probably were top of the line at some point but are now destined to be backup gloves. 4) POWER TRIP Black leather and carbon fiber, size XL. I wear these gloves more than any other pair, a fact this is just starting to become evident in the tip of the fingers. Carbon fiber around the knuckles, metal studs in the palm and a velrco closure on the small gauntlet complete this gloves amenities. My favorite pair of gloves for day to day riding. 5) TEKNIC Keprotec Schoeller in red and black, size XL. These are incredible gloves! High quality leather, great style, comfort and safety all wrapped into one. Metal studs on the palm, carbon fiber on the knuckles, a wrist and large gauntlet, both held in place by elastic and velcro. I'll say it again, high quality, these gloves are ready for whatever you can dish out. Hardly worn, like new. 6) Liners. I have no idea where I got these or who makes them but they are great when it's cold! They are a thin glove that you wear under your regular gloves to help keep your hands warm. The feel like satin or silk. I live in Arizona, hardly used them, like new. Helmets: 1) HJC CL-12 Fusion in red and white, size S. With simple, yet stylish, graphics, this helmet helps you get noticed. It has hardly been used at all, mostly for kids when I take them for a ride down the block and back. There are four chin vents and a forehead vent, all of them exit out two rear vents for great air movement. It has a quick release clear visor with a scratch that could probably be made invisible with some Novus scratch remover. It's great for kids or possibly as a ladies helmet. It is in near new condition and is stored in an HJC helmet bag. 2) HJC CL-12 Streetfighter, with quick release clear visor, in red with a little orange, a little yellow and silver/gray graphics, size L. This helmet is like new, hardly worn and looks incredible! The look is very stylish but not overdone, a good mix of shape and color, very eye catching. This helmet could be sitting on the sales floor, looks new, feels new, even smells new! Stored in a helmet carrying bag. 2b) Three spare visors for the HJC CL-12 helmets, two scratched mirrored visors and one clear that is brand new, still in the wrapping! 4) AGV Pacesetter in all black, size L? I couldn't find the size but it is tight on me so I would guess it to be a large. It looks just like the AGV Laguna, so I'm guessing it is 'Advanced Composite Fiber' too. This is an incredible helmet that AGV, in Italy, made for Harley Davidson. It says 'Harley- Davidson motorcycles' on the side in about two inch dark grey letters with a very fine maroon outline. It has a double chin vent and a forehead vent but the coolest thing is the chin strap! AGV has designed a patented chin strap connector that clicks into place like a seatbelt! Once you put on the helmet you click one end into the other and off you go. The first time you wear the helmet you adjust the strap to fit and after that it's quick and easy, even with gloves on. The previous owner put four pieces of approximately one inch by three inches of reflective tape on the helmet. With the exceptionof trying it on, I never wore this helmet so I never removed them. I'm sure they ! would come off easily in just a few minutes time. This is a very high quality, like new helmet! 5) AGV Laguna in all black, size XXL? I couldn't find the size on this one either, it's a little loose so I am guessing XXL. It says 'ACF-Advanced Composite Fibers' on a removable sticker on the right side of the helmet. Not sure exactly what that means but I would say that the helmet is made of a special material. It seems to be quite light and since it's made by AGV I wouldn't doubt it. This helmet is very similiar to the above, Pacesetter, helmet except that the vents are a little different, the logo is located further back on the helmet in gold with a red outline and it doesn't have any reflective tape on it. It also is in like new condition and has the VERY COOL patented, seatbelt style, chin strap that makes it easy to take the helmet off and put it on even when wearing gloves. It's made by AGV so you know it a quality helmet. 6) ELECTRO ELX-4 Size XL. This is new in box, very unique, The visor is still in it's protective covering and the helmet instruction are still attached to the chin strap! The helmet is all black with chin and forehead vents and says 'ENDURO' on the side below the visor in silver block letters. What makes this helmet so unique is the removable top visor like you would find on a helmet for a dirt bike. Like the visor, it's still in it's protective wrap but you can see how it fits on the top of the helmet. With this visor and the way the helmet's chin area sticks out a little it seems to be a cross between a street and dirt helmet that might be used in enduro (thus the name) racing. This helmet is brand new, still has the blue XL sticker on the side, and seems to be a high quality helmet. 7) SHOEI RF-800. All black, clear visor, size L. This Sheoi fits like an XL, at least to me. I wear an XL in the HJC line and this L fits me well, at least in size. I bought this helmet used to 'step up' to a better helmet and it didn't fit the shape of my head. I've worn it a few times and it is very comfortable, lighter and quieter than my HJCs, but just never felt quite right. It was touched up by the previous owner in a few places but you would have to be really close to see them. A high quality helmet that hasn't been used much at all. Stored in an AGV carrying bag. Luggage: Tank Bags 1) TOUR MASTER Full size, expandable, black with red logo. This is a strapped bag with lots of room, tons of pockets and protected map holder on top. It matchs the saddlebags listed below. This was my only tank bag for quite a while and it worked great, still does! I had this thing jammed full for a trip and it was great to have strapped onto the tank. It wasn't so big as to be in the way and gave my back a rest when I leaned against it. It comes with a rain cover, has a strap in the front that makes it easy to carry and has zipper pulls for those times you'ld like to keep your gloves on. A little sun faded but I'd use it in a hearbeat if I didn't have my Bagster. 2) BAGSTER! This thing is AWESOME. You won't see many of these as they are made in the U.K. Most tank bags are one size fits most type construction, trying to work for all motorcycles. Not Bagster, they are made for each individual bike specifically. The Bagster is more than just a full size tank bag, it's a tank protector too. One part covers the tank, not just part of it, the whole thing! It is held down in the front and the back (no, you don't have to remove the tank to install it, just the seat) and has a soft material on the bottom so it won't scratch the tank. The bag then connects to the tank cover. The tank cover has padded sides for your knees, is color matched to the bike and has a cut out for the gas cap. The bag is also color matched and has a built in rain cover so you will never lose it. There is a map holder on top, lots of expandable room inside for all your goodies and a top pocket for those items you want to keep close at hand. There's no need for zipper pu! lls because of the large zipper handles. Both the tank protector and bag are in great shape. Saddlebags 1) TOUR MASTER black with red logo, matches the Tour Master tank bag above. These saddle bags complete the tranformation of the VFR into a touring machine. They are large but not huge and strap securely to the VFR. Even at high speeds and over some rough dirt roads they stayed put. I was surprised at how much I could fit in these bags. The tank bag alone is enough for a weekend trip but add the matching saddlebags and you could probably be good for a week or more. Used maybe twice, they just need to be dusted off from being on the shelf. Plastics: All plastics are for the Honda VFR800 Interceptor model years 1998 to 2001. The U.S. versions of the VFR came in Yellow in the year 2000 only, the other years it was Red. The shapes and sizes are the same, only the color was different. 1) Right side in red. Was damaged, repaired and repainted when I got it. The bottom bolt hole has been covered over as part of the repair. I can assure you that even without that bolt holding it in place it was solid at speeds far beyond those recommened by men in badges. The color isn't quite the same as the OEM red but it's close. Exhausts: 1) STOCK pipe #1 This one has some scratches on it but works just fine 2) STOCK pipe #2 The stock pipe is in perfect condition. Purchased to replace the scratched one and inteded to be used if I ever used my saddlebags. Once I got the Two Brothers exhaust listed below I haven't needed either of the stock pipes. They're both patiently sitting in the closet. 3) MICRON Carbon Fiber Oval High Mount. This is the exhaust I run on the bike now. It's beautiful, sounds incredible and is of higher quality than the Two Brothers. Eveything I said above about the look and sound of the Two Brothers... it's even better with the Micron! 4) OEM Headers. This is a complete set of used headers I was going to have coated by Jet-Hot. The key word here is 'was'. They are still in the box... waiting... Windscreens: 1) HONDA OEM clear screen. It has some rub marks, mostly from storage I believe. With Novus plastic polish and a little elbow grease it would look new again. All the mounting tabs and holes are perfect. 2) Unknown manufacturer, Dark Tinted screen. This screen is standard size, not the touring style with the huge riser, and is so dark you could almost arc weld with it. It has a few rub marks that most likely came from storage, similiar to the OEM screen, but nothing that jumps out at you. The dark tint gives the bike a more agressive look, especially with the paint job I have on my VFR. One of the mounting tabs is broken but it still fastens securely to the bike without worry. 3) ZERO GRAVITY Light Smoke tinted screen. This screen is on the bike now and looks great. It's not as dark as the unknown screen above but looks better than the clear screen, especially the way it fits into the paint scheme I have now. Saddles: 1) OEM Saddle, The original saddle recovered with a material that looks somewhat like leather but is softer to the touch. I think they changed the padding when they recovered it because it is more comfortable than the stock saddle I had on my last VFR. I actually prefer this saddle over either of the Corbins I have. They are a bit firm for my taste but that's just me, try them both and use the one you like best. 2) SARGENT rear half saddle, made from a textured vinyl material. I bought it 'just in case' and have never used it. I don't think the previous owner did either because it's in perfect condition. 3) CORBIN full saddle. Corbin badge, red piping, great shape. Miscellaneous: Toolbox: Red and Black Rubbermaid toolbox with two removeable clear bins on top and removable tray. In clear bins on top of the tool box is: Steering stem nut, fuses, 2 flange bolts, 1 sets of plugs for gaps in side of tail when cowl is removed, Cowl bolts, 3 turn signal bulbs, 3 taillight bulbs, hyper-lites flashing brake lite, OEM clutch and front brake cylinder covers, 3 Honda logo silver valve stem caps, clutch safety switch, Bolts and sleeves for passenger grab handles. Inside the tray you'll find: Four-way screwdriver, Open end wrench with ten MM on one side and twelve on the other, Red AA Mini Maglite, Four turn signal relays, Two headlight relays, Exhaust clamp, Electrical tape, Two spark plug wrenches, Pliers, Tour Master disc lock with reminder strap that stretches to the throttle, Pledge duster/cleaner/polish, Jumper wire for reading ECU codes, New in box front wheel bearings by Parts Unlimited, Bondhus brand five and six MM screwdriver style ball end allen wrenches, Eklind brand coated t-handle four, five and six MM allen wrenches, Generic plastic handled three MM allen wrench, Park Tool USA brand 3-way four, five and six MM allen wrench. In the bottom of the toolbox is: Stanley 40+ Piece socket and allen wrench tool kit with zip-around case, Passenger grab handles, Steel wool, Tool kit, Three OEM grips (one cut lengthwise but still usable), Reflectors, Genmar bar risers, Torque wrench, Three OEM headlamps, Owners manual, Funnel, Two scrub brushes, Oil filter socket, Chain lube, Set of 'used but good in a crunch' Clutch springs and fibers. Other Misc.
