Light control....UK style switch....?
I have a small problem I'm trying to deal with (mentally at the moment) that some
of you guys might have been exposed to. I'm wondering if anyone has tried to fit a UK lights off/Park/ on switch to the right handlebar switch assembly. Before about 2003 in the UK their bikes still had light control switches on the right handlebar switch assembly.....has anyone purchased such a UK version for their VFR? I have "seen" this very thing being done to a VFR...but I was curious if it was some one on this list. True, I don't actually have a VFR presently...but I do have my trusty ST13 and my buddy is in the process of getting a VFR, which I might be close behind as well. Getting the switch has a fair amount of problems with it....but I can over come that with money (not that I have any). But there is a play in there going on with a two stage switch (on the present US version of the Starter switch) that chops the headlight/engages the starter motor....and that's where I loose my ability to understand what has to be done when installing a UK switch assembly. Anyway, short story long, anyone done this before on their VFR? Please don't bash me for wanting to turn off my headlights either for moral or legal reasons.....I have my reasons...and if anyone is curious I sure don't mind telling. But that this point I have bored way too many listers already.... : ) Kirby Martin Dallas, Texas kurbster@xxxxxx _________________ _______________________________________________ vfr mailing list vfr@xxxxxx For subscription and delivery options: https://lists.cs.wisc.edu/mailman/listinfo/vfr |

tonights weather sucks.
Gee last night I was complaining of riding in the 50 deg but rainy
weather and the forecast for today was more rain. Well, forget rain, tonight it's freezing rain and snow. My usual 45-50 minute commute home took 1 hour and 28 minutes. It was only raining down where I work. Shortly after I got on the expressway, I ran into freezing rain and then a mixture with snow. It was not too bad except for the panicking morons that were sliding their big 4wd suv's off the road all over. I mean if I could keep my mustang gt on the road all the way home, then why can't these folks with the durangos, pathfinders and expeditions stay on the road. I have about three inches of white stuff in my driveway that I'll have to work on if I want to get to work tomorrow. snowblower.
