Re: tire mounting
Here are a few tips that i've found to help in mounting tires
----- it will help tremendously to have your tires all warm when you try to mount them. I like to leave mine in the front seat of the truck on a warm day. Cant think of a better way to get them up to 90 degrees or more..... ----- buy yourself some rim protectors off ebay for $5 ----- mix up some real slimy soapy/water...... the more slimy the better. The tire soap sticks after it dries, the detergent and get slippery again when it gets wet. > On 3/22/07, Tori > i didnt know how else to describe it....* Luckily i have the right > slimy tire sh!t here at the shop.** >> * >> ..........what is the averagge "shade tree" using when mounting his >> tires. ? >> >> * >> TORI >> California Central Coast HTH, JohnA in LA _______________________________________________ vfr mailing list vfr@xxxxxx For subscription and delivery options: https://lists.cs.wisc.edu/mailman/listinfo/vfr |

Before that I foolishly used silicone spray lubricant. Re: tire mounting
I use RuGlyde tire mounting solution (cheap...from NAPA).
Also have the Harbor Freight machine with cycle adaptor and SPECII-Telefix balancer. "Pinching" the tire sidewalls with my woodworking clamps help with stubborn (ie Dunlop) radials.
