Foot pegs with more adjustment

My foot pegs especially on the left side, my shifter foot doesn't quite
have enough adjustment to get comfortable. Wondering if anybody has
changed out the foot peg shift levers with after market parts? I have
been riding more and more track days and find a limited amount of
adjustment. Any suggestions.

Re: Foot pegs with more adjustment

I think I heard somewhere that the CBR600F4i aftermarket rear sets will
fit. Am I smoking something or is this true?

RE: Foot pegs with more adjustment

In my many years on bikes I've been on a 'foot forwards' bike twice.
All your weight is on your ass so you lose the posibility of using body
weight to change the angle of the bike.
During my brief time on a Hardly Davidson the inability to use my body to
change the center of gravity of the 'unit' caused too much damage to the
foot pegs and my boots. The story is here
http://www.b4time.net/USHarley/index.html

Also - why are the brakes on crusers so shit.
It's not as if you are going to pulln 'endo'

And about leg position.
When I got my first set of Crowtree leathers
(http://www.crowtreeleathers.co.uk/) the guy doung the measurements said
"you ride a VFR - put your foot on that stool" He then measured my legs.
The second set of leathers "You still ride a VFR" - "No - I got a fireblade"
He added two phone books to the top of the stool :)

The VFR peg position is the most comfortable I have been on.
I did 27,000 miles in 6 months without any leg discomfort.
(the comfort available from the stock seat is another & regular thread:)
