I'm dating myself, but a guy named Pete Harjung made a couple of
batches for the List ages ago...

They were just flat, shaped plates of stainless steel about 1mm
thick--Pete provided new OEM gaskets in his "kit", but the originals
can be re-used if carefully removed. I've seen people simply cut off
and fold-over the ends of the chrome PAIR tubes. Not quite as
elegant, though. TBR came out with block-off plates some years later,
actually intended for Suzukis, I think.
