2010 VFRworld Calendar
Well, the summer is unfortunately coming to an end, and the holidays will be upon us before we know it. Therefore, it’s about time we start preparing for the 2010 VFRworld Calendar! Since its inception, the annual VFRworld calendar has been a huge sensation. Hundreds of outstanding photos have been submitted, and over the past couple of years, the calendar has evolved into a high quality masterpiece that we’ve been proud to offer to VFR fanatics from all over the world.
This year, VFRworld is more popular than ever. We are now approaching 15,000 registered users on the board, and our user base has become more international than ever. I am confident that our 2010 calendar will be the best one yet!
As in previous years, the photos for the calendar will be selected from submissions from our members. Now is your chance to see your beautiful motorcycle, in all its shiny glory, representing a month in 2010.
The rules for photo submissions are simple.
1. It must be VFR-related.
2. You must have a high resolution version of the photo available (over 2000 pixel width would be ideal, which equates to 11"x9").
3. All years and models are welcome - in fact, the more variety, the better.
4. Photos which were selected for last year's calendar are not eligible in 2010. However, if you submitted a photo last year that did not get chosen, you are welcome to submit it again this year.
5. Each member is allowed to submit only ONE photo, so choose wisely!
6. Classy, artsy, colorful photos are highly encouraged! In the past, the photos that have been selected have been primarily action shots or shots of VFRs in interesting situations (as opposed to a snapshot of your bike sitting in your driveway).
7. Photo submissions will be open until Friday, October 30. No photos will be accepted after that date.
As we did last year, the VFRworld moderators are going to team up to decide which photos will be included in the 2010 calendar. This will ensure that we are selecting photos that will make the calendar a well-rounded work of art, including a variety of years and models, settings, and users. Please note that typically, over a hundred photos are submitted, and there are only 13 finalists. If we could add more months to the year, we would gladly do so.
If your photo is selected for the calendar, you will be asked to provide some information for the caption, and you will be asked to upload your high resolution version of the photo. Please ensure that the email address in your profile is up to date. If we can't contact you, your photo cannot be included in the calendar.
REMINDER: If you don’t have a high resolution version, please don’t submit your photo. It needs to be at least 2,000 pixels wide. Smaller photos cannot be enlarged for the calendar.
We have created a new category in the Photo Gallery for calendar submissions. Go to the Photo Gallery and click on 2010 VFRworld Calendar to submit your entries, or to view other submissions. You’ll be able to “rate” the photos that have been submitted, which will help the moderators decide on the best photos.
We look forward to all the fabulous photos that are sure to be entered in this year's contest, and most important of all - have fun with it!
NOTE: Please don't post your photos on this thread, go post them in the Photo Gallery!

its just about to start in oz
At 600 lbs. + dry, the 2010 VFR is certainly a "chunky monkey". There are Sport Touring Bikes that weigh less and have all the creature comfort features that the new VFR lacks. My personal opinion is that the 2010 VFR is going to be as big a marketing flop as the 2009 DN-01 "Crossover" and their "chopper". Honda, save the hype and deliver quality products that truely fit the market. This is a grossly overweight sport bike that is probably going to be grossly overpriced.

I thought this was suppose to be a forum for VFR owners. This 2010 VFR calendar seems like free advertising & marketing for Honda. Are we gullible enough to buy into Honda's hype?

Its a calendar of the group HERE ON THIS BOARD..........its for sale to the members HERE ON THIS BOARD..... and obviously we like Hondas cause thats why we are HERE ON THIS BOARD...
Sheesh ...if you don't want a calendar..THEN DON'T BUY ONE
see wasn't that an easy decision .....

You just joined this month and so far you have made a total of 4 posts of which at least 2 have been out to lunch. And you can still find it in you to bash something that has been a multi-year tradition here. I'm not sure if your new to the world of forums, but it's in ones best interest to hang out for a while and see how things are before getting yourself into a situation that you can't recover from.
It seems like you are getting awfully wound up over one person who is not fond of Honda, the company. It makes me wonder what your relationship is to them. The fact is there are MANY VFR owners, like myself, that love the bike but not the comapany. If this area of the Forum is not the appropriate place to express that, my apologies. As you've noted I'm new to the forum. In the future I'll express my opinions elsewhere as I just did recently concerning Honda's denial of a shifting problem with the VFR.
