Good news, it's time for the 2008 VFRworld Calendar Contest! Last year's calendar was a HUGE success - almost 100 copies were ordered, and are currently hanging on the cubicle walls of VFRworld members! If you haven't checked out last year's calendar, you can find it here:
<a href="http://vfrworld.com/index.php?page=cafepress"><u>http://vfrworld.com/index.php?page=cafepress</u></a>
We need your help! How would you like to see your beautiful motorcycle, in all its shiny glory, representing a month in 2008? Like last year, we are holding a contest to decide which photos make the cut.
The rules for photo submissions are simple. You can submit your photos at the following link. Just click on Add a Photo on the left.
- It must be VFR-related.
- It must be a high resolution (over 2000 pixel width would be ideal, which equates to 11"x9").
- All years and models are welcome - in fact, the more variety, the better.
- Photos which were selected for last year's calendar are not eligible in 2008. However, if you submitted a photo last year that did not get chosen, you are welcome to submit it again this year.
- You are welcome to submit as many photos as you wish, but only one photo per user can be selected for the final calendar.
- Classy, artsy, colorful photos are highly encouraged!
<a href="http://vfrworld.com/forums/vbphotovote.php?do=listingresults&my_query=%20ORDER%20BY%20rating%20%20DESC,%20votes%20%20DESC"><u>http://vfrworld.com/forums/vbphotovote.php</u></a>
You can also vote for your favorite photos at this link. Photos with the highest ratings will be eligible for inclusion in the 2008 calendar, but final decisions will be made by the moderators of VFRworld. In an effort to create a well-rounded, professional quality calendar, we will choose a variety of photos. For example, we prefer to vary the generations included in the photos, and not to have a calendar of only 6th generation Interceptors.
If your photo is selected for the calendar, you will be asked to provide some (voluntary) information for the caption. Please ensure that the email address in your profile is up to date. If we can't contact you, your photo will not be included in the calendar.
We had some AMAZING photos submitted last year, and it was really difficult to narrow it down to 13 (including the cover). VFRworld is now bigger than ever, so this year will be even harder to choose.
Come and help us create the best VFR-related calendar ever! <a href="http://vfrworld.com/forums/vbphotovote.php"><u>http://vfrworld.com/forums/vbphotovote.php</u></a>

Awsome! I look forward to seeing all the great pics that will be submitted, regardless of which ones make the calendar.![]()
Cool you read my mind? or was that my thread? either way nice, time to get the camera back out..
Someone needs to get a low angle shot of a VFR at a corner apex sparking a titanium knee slider..............Anyone want to accept that challenge?

I've got to find a cool background and get my bike into calender quality shape. I'll try to represent the 500 Interceptor.
Does it have to be original paint color or is the Mad Max look ok as long as the picture looks good?

There seems to be some serius problem when downloading pics!
If you download 2 or more pics to fast only one of the pics is shown so if you download 3 pics, only one of them is shown 3 times! Also sems that if sewerall download pics at same time only one of the pic is shown for all of them. This is wrong!
Can something be done to this????
I hope all that has downloaded pics check out their pics, delete the wrong or multiple pics and try to load down the right pic again.
I'd also like to add that an easier means to even find that area from the home page be made simpler to use, to me it seems clumsily. but I've worked through it. mercy ;)
it's a shame I won't have my vf500 done in time for some good pics. but I did get my 1000 and Rowe's 750 together for some shots, kinda wish I could put all three together in one pic. It would be kinda cool.
You can only go so far, so fast...
or Faster (If need Be!!)

Why does it hapen so that after I loaded down a pic a day or 2 lather the pic is a diffrent! I have deleted and loaded my pic down seweral times now, and it hapened again! indtad of a new pic of my -87 750VFR there is a pic of a yellow 5 gen 800.....![]()

It happens to me as well. I'm not too terribly worried about it. I figure there's just a glitch in the gallery post tool or something. Either that or it's a conspiracy to make everyone else and their VFRs feel inferior to Yellow 5th Gens...
This photo needs to be in the mix
and this one too. even thou it's a pro shot

Wierd, all my photos uploaded fine.
I don't know what is happening, but is not my fault.
I try to upload my own photos and this is what happens.
In fact I have one of my photos under someone's else name.
If anyone can correct this, I will be very pleased.
